The Ping Nakara Hotel is a very nice property, well located in the center of Chiang Mai (everything is within walking distance), with nice people. It's small (+/-30 rooms), so book well in advance to have a Chance to get a Room. The restaurant is small, but it's easy to find spots outside (at 2 minutes walk you have the...

We spent two nights here after leaving the mandarin oriental in Bangkok - a hard act to follow indeed. However, without hesitation we would recommend this hotel if you want somewhere near the centre of Chiang Mai that is peaceful, beautiful and very comfortable. We had a lovely room, the staff were excellent and the architecture is stunning. The restaurant...

dropped in for coffee and enjoyed a peaceful respite from a busy day in town. Totally peaceful place although its in the city. Had lunch on the colonnade overlooking the pool. The backdrop was nothing but green, trees and plants en mass. Like being in the country. Coffee is always great here and service excellent. Reception staff were very kind...

We booked the Ping Nakara based on the strength of the reviews on TripAdvisor. This is a lovely, colonial style hotel, outside the Old City near the Ping River. Our room had an incredible bathroom including a large tub; with a nice leafy view of banana trees. The pool is lovely. The staff were helpful - arranging tuk tuks for...

After read many good review on Ping Nakara I was expecting a lot more than this. I am totally agree with "overrated comment" below. I would like to point out 2 main drawback 1. I don't understand why Ping Nakara came number 1 in most romantic hotel when I can heard everything from the street next door to foot step...

Dear guest, Thank you for your message. We do consider your comments to be important for improvement of guests’ experience. The road in front of the hotel has some daytime noise but little nighttime traffic. So, in the original hotel design, the architect used a walkway plus the foyer and bathroom to create a buffer for heat and noise for...

My partner and I stayed at Ping Nakara during Christmas and whilst we had an enjoyable stay, we felt there are some elements which could have been better. Our room was very nice and spacious and the overall style of the hotel is interesting being colonial - it felt more like a house than a hotel which was great. The...

We chose to stay at this hotel based on its excellent Tripadvisor reviews and, unfortunately, were sorely disappointed. Ping Nakara simply does not deliver what one would expect of a hotel in Thailand charging more than $300 per night. Partly for this reason, we ended up leaving a night early. The hotel management will likely respond, as they have to...

We had a wonderful time at Ping Nakara in early Jan. The design of the hotel is beautiful. I love the colonial touches and clean white walls with gorgeous incorporation of plants.
