Britannia is a very pleasant place. Gesthouse is located in a quiet part of old town, few minutes walk to many attractions. Owners speak fluent english. My room was very spacious, sunny and clean. I've booked a tour here, they weren't pushing it at all, gave ma a lot of choice, and helped me to get lower prices then other... More

We spent two nights in Britannia. Nice and cozy room. Great service and cleaning. Staff booked for us tours and tuk tuk and got very good recommendations about food. Bike rental is close and not far away from main temples and night bazar! Great experience with Britannia!

I booked for 8 days and stayed for 20. I was in a single room with double bed, shower and balcony. The room was big enough to do yoga in or to sit at the "desk" and work on my laptop. You are a short walk to the edge of the old city so it's exceptionally easy to use the... More

My third time to Chiangmai. I have stayed in many guest houses. The Britannia was the best I've found. Very clean and comfortable. Elle and lochy the owners and their efficient staff are great. Anything you need or want they are on it. Real people that really care about their place and the people who stay there. Elle is Thai... More

I think it is safe to say that I have been a fair bit around in Asia and that I am fairly familiar with the price-quality index. After turning 50 I must admit that I require a decent comfort and that price is not the only parameter. Yet, I still seek uncomplicated, local, family-run, authentic places above high streets hotels.... More

Spent five nights mid September at the Britannia and had a thorughly enjoyable stay, very clean and well run guesthouse. Great location with fantastic restaurants, transport and massages just outside the front door. The couple who own this guesthouse are friendly and approachable and the nightly rate is superb for what you get. Regarding activities and tours, the owners will... More

I stayed here on my honeymoon in August for only two nights, and it wasn't nearly long enough. We were on a quick stop through to Chiang Mai, otherwise I could have easily spent weeks here! First of all the location is excellent-on a cute side street surrounded by restaurants, shopping, bike and motorbike rentals, and right off the main... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, the position is in a nice little area of CM in the north-eastern corner of the old city, with a few bars close and more within 5 mins walk. The room was a little dated, but big and had a nice little balcony, aircon was great and shower hot. The biggest selling pint were... More

A very nice and clean place to rest. In particular: free bottled water, air conditionar, very good good bed (comfy and big!), paceful and the most important: the owners are so helpful and kind. They helped us to book a lot of activities with discount. All this at the center of the city! Highly recommended!!!

Thank you for staying with us. Glad you enjoyed one of our comfy new beds. We have been slowly replacing them over the past year or so with a softer variety. Hope to see you again another time More
