This boutique hotel is a wonderful place with antique decoration such as the wooden pillar bed and the wooden flooring. The food here is great too, the inclusive breakfast was of varieties to chose from. The staff are very courteous and helpful as well. Highly recommended :)

If possible, I would give this a resounding 4 1/2! This retro boutique hotel located just off of Nimahaemin Road in Chiang Mai is a gem! We recently spent 8 nights there. It is quirky and eclectic. The decor is very colonial with some really nice pieces of history throughout the building. It is located about 1/2 block off of...

For those who like the retro colonial ambience, this hotel is in an old refurbished building, Location is right on Nimahaemin road, many restaurants around and the popular Warm Up pub & disco within 5 min walk. Rooms & bathroom are ok. Breakfast is served in the small cafe on the street front. There is a small parking area for...

We stayed 1 night. The room was nice with cool retro touches. Best bed I slept in while travelling in Thailand. Downside was the noise from planes taking off nearby. Great location for exploring Nimmanhaemin road.

We stayed here for 4 nights. We understand this is a restored school and has a colonial architecture/feel. The hotel is quiet, nicely appointed and very friendly staff. We borrowed their bicycles for one day and gave our walking legs a break. The hotel is conveniently located in the Niman Hammen district. A great breakfast was provided at the next...

Pros: We liked the location, Nimmanhaeminda Road has a lot of bars and coffee shops. It's a little far from the more tourists sites in the old city, but we kind of liked that. We found a really delicious family restaurant, Hong Tuawn Restaurant, down the street that we ate at every night. Staff were friendly. Cons: - The breakfast...

Perfect spot on Nimmanhaemin Road near plenty of restaurants and bars. Decent-sized room done up nicely with retro touches. Unfortunately I got room on the bottom floor without any windows so it was a bit depressing. Noise was an issue, especially in the mornings, making it hard to sleep. Walls were paper thin - you could hear noise from the...

Stayed in this property for a short week, and truly found it awesome. It does not feel like a hotel, but like a resort in the town instead. The location is not in the immediate center, but the area around has its character around art, modern and even somewhat cosmopolitan. It is not full of farang, tourist either, which is...

The FO staff especially K. Meaw was so helpful right from the reservation process. Many advises and recommendations were given out then. Thanks to her we had the most beautiful corner room. The rest of the staffs were also helpful and attentive. K. Eye was another great lady at the front desk. She had been assisting us with motorbike rental,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Like no others, Yesterday Hotel is, in many ways, represented the influential era of Thai identity during the mid 80s. The most impressive thing about the hotel might not be only its superb convenient location in the heart of the hip city centre area, Nimmanhaemin, where hundred of chic cafes and small shops are surrounded, but it would be also the sum of its elements and services that are inspired by Thai good old days. The building itself was long known as an international kindergarten and has been renovated into the 25-room boutique hotel since 2008. While the exterior is the mixtures of Thai and Colonial architecture, the interior are somewhat cultural unique. Hanging on the wall of each room, the pictures are the collection of the "Mana-Manee", 20 years ago Thai-primary school textbook and illustrates. The antique furnishings from decorative lamps to non-identical handicraft beds simply remind the visitors of such an era of Thai children culture and nationalism. However, the modern comfortable stay is not overlooked. All services such as free Wifi, electronic door lock, bicycle, safety box, hair dryer, complimentary herbal hot drinks, 24-hour front desk together with many of other amenities and services come as standard in the Deluxe room type and above. Despite the fact that Yesterday Hotel tries its best to provide the most convenient location and comfy stay; above all, for those visitors who are long wishing to wake up oneself childish soul, perhaps... this might be the place. ... more   less
