Very nice place. A bit close to the street so noise level was a bit high. Breakfast ample and quite good. River location was not as nice as I had hoped as the river is rather polluted and not very nice looking. Also a source of bugs and mosquitos!! One large swimming pool and one small one. Nice gym and...

Experienced Moroccan style with reasonable price in good location.I like all details that they tried to mix Moroccan and Thai Northern design in their decoration.Sadly, their lobby interior was horrible, bad taste. The air con in my room was noisy and I did not have good sleep. They did not have packed breakfast for guest who needed to leave early and very limited choice...

I stayed for 2 weeks at this lovely hotel. Because it was some 15 minutes out of the heart of the city. My concern when booking was the distance removed from the Old city wall however it was one of the benefits. With free shuttle bus service or a cheap taxi fare from the hotel, we had the benefit of...

Check in was easy. My room was very nice and comfortable. The pool was nice and clean. They even had a free Krathong making station for the Full Moon Festival. It is about a 7 minute taxi ride to the main downtown area of Chiang Mai.

We stayed at Sheik Istana hotel for 2 days while in Chiang Mai. The hotel and the room itself was beautiful and very clean! The decor was Moroccan inspired - it was very cool. The hotel had 2 pools on the property, a nice outdoor space with benches, palm trees, wooden swings and arches (lots of photo ops!) and it's...

We went to eat in restaurant. Had table no problem as only two ther tables occupied. My husband and I and Thai family with children. We ordered food at 7.15 and by 9pm we still had nothing to eat. The other tables had filled up and were being served their food. Staff kept saying 5 minutes 5 minutes. How long...

We wanted a river view break, local, but out of the city. Sheik Istana is both Mesmerising and Peaceful and ticks all the boxes. It's 5 star luxury at 3/4 star prices. A gem. Beautiful gardens and interior decor with an ambience to match. Top notch. Thoroughly recommended. The staff are 10/10. Recommend Happy Green restaurant 9-5.

We stayed at discounted price which was about $50/night. For this price it was awesome and stay every time at that price. Probably would not pay more as there are lots of options in Chiang Mai. Very clean, nice pools.

We booked this at really short notice after being very disappointed with the first one we'd booked. Very clean nice rooms. Although the language barrier was a bit of a problem now and again, but the staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble for them. We ate lunch and dinner here a few times and the food was marvellous....

We spent four lovely days in this 4-star hotel on the Ping River. Great accommodations, good restaurant and a quiet, pleasant respite from the hustle of downtown. Staff is very helpful. Highly recommend.
