I had quite a lovely stay at the 137 Pillars Chiang Mai hotel. My suite was thoughtfully & tastefully appointed with a very spacious veranda/balcony as a welcomed extension of that space. The grounds were inviting. Dinners at the restaurant were so delicious that I found myself back there every night. The entire staff was wonderful! This chic, boutique hotel is full of unexpected treasures; allow yourself time to discover them…. I will definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay at 137 pillars. Due tothe covid situation it was as if we had the resort for ourselves. You don’t wish thIs kind of economic hardship on any business but the staff and management most certainly didn’t hold back on friendliness and service. Do try the restaurant for dinner. We were baffled by the creativity of the executive chef with several Thai dishes. Rooms are perfect and spotless. Bird lovers will also enjoy a varied collection of native species whistling about.

The room was spacious and with all the facilities you would need and spotless clean! The bed was so comfy and huge, quality of the linen was amazing! The pool is big enough and the hotel looks amazing from here. Every single person from the staff is so kind, grateful and helpful.

One night stay in Chiang Mai. Beautiful pretty; feels like being in a small resort in the middle of the city. The staff here are great and always available when you need something…drinks and any special requests always came quickly. Had dinner at Palette and the food and service was phenomenal; we had both Thai and western dishes and both were good (but go for the Thai-it was a standout for us). Also had treatments at the spa and the providers were great and they use high quality oils and product. Management was very flexible on a last minute change to our travel arrangements and we greatly appreciated them allowing us to change our stay dates at the last minute. The property is slow now due to the lack of tourism but I hope be back to this property again on another visit to Chiang Mai. Special shout-out to our butler Toto and Ray from the front office team.

We originally booked to stay at 137 Pillars CM over six months ago for a family vacation. But due to Covid situation we had to amend our booking and delay our trip to now 6 months later. Well - it was definitely worth the wait!!! This hotel is exactly as wonderful as how the two previous reviewers had described it. It is a beautiful heritage hotel, cozy, spacious enough without being overwhelming, and a big plus point is that this property is mostly open-air, which our family really appreciates given the current Covid concerns. It was a busy period for the hotel during the weekend we stayed there, nearly fully booked, but we never once felt it was crowded. The room (we stayed in room #12), as mentioned by previous reviewers, is spacious and comes with a large veranda, a footed bathtub, double sink and both an indoor & outdoor showers. The open closet area comes with a red painted wall, which I personally think is a nice touch and gives the room a modern feel & a pop of color. The breakfast, as mentioned by others, is served to your table rather than buffet style due to Covid reasons. Guests are presented with the brekkie menu and can choose all the options you like. It has nice varieties of both Western (Eggs Benedict, omelette, beans, sausages, eggs etc) and Asian fares (congee, rice porridge, pad Thai, noodle with soup & meat, stir-fried noodle with soup, fried rice). The one thing I especially liked was that the hotel provides vegetarian options for all the Asian breakfast selections, one can order it either with choice of meat (chicken, pork , shrimp) or opt for the vegetarian alternative. Which I am afraid is not the case with all hotels, at least not all the ones in Thailand or sometimes even in Bangkok! Another thing we enjoyed and find special at this hotel is that the moment you enter the property, further down from the check-in/reception area, is a statue of the Indian Elephant God “Ganesha”. The staff are always attentive with friendly smiles but without being intrusive. They all truly made our stay at The 137 Pillars House CM so wonderful, it truly felt like our “home away from home”. We would like to give special thanks to Ms. Pat the manager & Khun Ray our butler - who both were so quick and responsive when my husband realized during one of our day outings, that he had left his wallet behind in our hotel room by mistake. Both of them took quick action and immediately checked the room for us, the wallet was kept in safe condition for us until our return later in the day. We also want to thank the F&B staff, Khun Eak & Khun Noom, who took good care of us (and especially our daughter) when we arrived for breakfast each morning. One warm personal touch is that I had noticed the manager, Ms. Pat, would personally send off each guests to their vehicles or chauffeured cars at the end of their stay, right after the guests checks out. I believe this is possible due to the cozy size and setting of the hotel. It is truly a very special personal touch.
