This is a nice family run hostel/hotel. Its in a quite side street but close to everything you need. The family that run this place are very nice and friendly, they will genuinely advise you on trips and what to do in the local area. They helped my with a map of the local area and finding various attraction sites,...

First off, it's a guesthouse - meaning a family lives on the first floor and the three floors above are for guests. The rooms are small, the bathroom and showers are out in the hall. I had the only room with air-con, which I can't imagine staying in Chiang Mai in the hot season without A/C. It is close to...

A lovely and cheap place to stay in Chiang Mai. We paid 400 baht (or $13) a night for a clean, adorable little double room with a balcony. The owners provide you with free water, kitchen supplies, and cutlery, and the whole place feels like a family home. Short walk to the Chiang Mai night life.

The family running the hostel are really nice and I felt as if I'm staying in my home. The location is located in the most vibrant spot, yet quite as it is inside a lane. The single private room I stayed is spacious for a hostel with make-up table, tea table with two chairs, wardrobe and television. It even has...

We came to this place because we wanted to stay for a month and they asked for a very good price. The rooms are clean, but best to ask for a room with a window opening outside. There are indeed rooms with a window only opening in the corridor which lacks privacy and daylight. We had a room directly above...

we stayed there 3 nights. The lady owner is very friendly. She and her daughters keep the guest house very tidy. Although it's not very new and there is a shared bathroom, this place is good to stay. You get a room for a very reasonable price

Huen Panicha is close to the major nightclub part of town, but feels almost misplaced: it's a family-oriented, charming guesthouse. It's on a small side-street, and the floor plan encourages peace and quiet. The rooms and common spaces are very clean, liquid soap and towels are provided, and the free wireless was of high quality. The best part is the...
