I spent a few nights here with part of a fundraising trekking group before we left the city. I felt that the one thing going for it was the good location right in the centre of the city opposite the Old Town walls. Very conveniently positioned. After that I really couldn't find anything to like about it. The decor was...

Nice rooms, great swimming pool, spacious lobby. Very pleasant stay. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The breakfast at the hotel is very good, lots of choice ranging from lovely fresh fruit to proper meals.

The hotel is old but they are renovating the rooms. Good breakfast with many options. The reception staffs are very rude with poor english. When I tried to ask to print my boarding pass, they charge me 20bath for each paper. Nobody tried to help me about this issue. The cleaness of the rooms are not good, but I think...

Could of been a great stay but when we questioned the bedding having booked for 3 and offered a twin room the older lady at reception was very abrupt and quite rude. Living in Thailand for the last 6 months this experience specific to this lady has been by far the worst experience to date. If she had noted my...

The rooms are large and comfortable; the lobby is spacious and modern; service is great - I wanted a large bed and they upgraded me without even asking; location is perfect being at the Tapae Gates and easy walk or ride to the attractions like the Night Bazaar.

I spent some time looking checking out TripAdvisor reviews before booking. I noticed that The Amora was close to everything in Chiang Mai. I like to walk everywhere and didn't want to have to worry about getting home in the evening. Their location is directly across from the Tha Phae Gate and the Sunday walking market close to the night...

The hotel is easy walking distance of all the attractions of the old and new town. Our room was on the 10th floor and was one of the older style rooms. It looked like rooms lower down have been refurbished so it was a shame we didn't get one of those rooms. Breakfast is a vast buffet of all kinds...

This location is very good near markets and shops and transport. The hotel is nice when you enter but the room is not - everything seems old and dirty in the bedroom and the bathroom and outside when you walk from the lift to the room without aircon and carpet is old and dirty. At morning breakfast there is millions...

Have stayed here several times, but this recent stay was not a pleasant one. Chosen as the location is good, the standards are slipping further and further lower, so it's time to search for an alternative. Two of my three nights were booked on my behalf and I booked the extra night myself. I was informed on check-in that for...
