We were a family of four people, two adults and two kids ages 2.5 and 4. The romms are big with a lit of space. The rooms and the hotel are very old. There is a carpet from wall to wall, causing the whole place to be smelly. It feels a bit unclean because of the carpets. The bath and... More

Suriwongse is an ok hotel from afar its got everything, big rooms, close to the main strip and night markets, and the rooms are nice. When you look closer, it may just be Asia but the quality starts deteriorating. We just stayed at this hotel for the second time. We got a 5 night stay package deal that included 1 dinner, 1 free massage, airport transportation and a few other things as well as the breakfast buffet. A person holding a sign with your name waits for you at the airport - so easy. The reception staff were very... More

This hotel is still going through upgrades and renovations. To me, what is most important is the Restaurants and the Entertainment that Suriwongse Hotel provides its visitors. This hotel has a star attraction in the Fueng Fah Restaurant. I visit this restaurant/night club twice a week. Their food is exquisite. The cost is most reasonable. The music covers all genres... The rooms are fairly spacious but not as big as the ones that I stayed in at Imperial Mae Ping 2 years ago. The Hotels in Chiang Mai seems to be old looking instead of being modern. Location is great. Quiet inside our rooms despite being around so much activity. Staff was excellent - speaking English, carrying our bags, providing directions... Pool is small but refreshing after a day of exploring temples.

The Suriwongse is a very nice hotel with is terrace at the Night Bazaar. Rooms are tidy, the food good. You'll never need a business card of the hotel for a tuk-tuk or taxi driver. They all know the Suriwongse. I have been there several times.
