If you are looking for somewhere relaxed, quiet and comfortable but still just a walk away from all that Chiang Mai has to offer this is a great place to stay. I stayed there a couple of times this trip and started each day with a lovely breakfast out in the garden by the river. My room was spacious, clean...

This is a lovely spacious place, with a truly beautiful hidden garden and swimming pool right on the river running through chiang Mai. It's wonderfully tucked away down an alley which provides a nice retreat from the occasional madness of chiang Mai. It's quite a walk to the old city, but it's easy to catch a red truck or tuk...

Like a long beloved coat, this property is nicely worn but actually burnished with considerable care and consideration. I was very happy to find it, its home-like comfort, clean rooms, attentive and friendly service, and wonderful garden still in business since my last visit 20+ years ago. For people who do not need to revisit the bustle of Chiang Mai...

Okay, before I start writing MY review I just want to clear a little bit up about what has been said by those who have given poor reviews...I have noticed that all the poor reviews are from several years ago and from what I've experienced at this hotel in December 2014... a LOT has changed - for the better! The...

The gardens are like mine - nothing fancy, but lots of interesting plants. It feels like staying in a family home. A restful place to stay for a week, away from the noise of traffic, with a nice pool overlooking the river.

We spent a night here in August, a family of four. Our room was ready and we were able to check in as soon as we arrived, which was great as we arrived early in the morning off the overnight train. The pool was small but pleasant and the riverside location and lovely gardens gave the place a great feeling....

The rooms are basic, pretty much a bed and a shower, but the surrounding gardens are lovely. The hotel is a bit tucked away and it feels very peaceful and relaxing - an easy place to relax and forget about the rest of the word. There is a simple breakfast served in the garden but no evening meals. The location...

Imagine being a guest of a wealthy merchant family at their country house redolent with their clan's and their city's history over the decades and you have a sense of Riverview Lodge. High ceilinged rooms are non-fussy and scrupulously clean. Riverview is presided over by efficient, low-key, courteous and helpful staff at all hours. Book extra days so you don't...

If you are travelling back in time! An antique furnished Thai style lodge. Very nicely decorated. Everthing can be purchaced. The garden is amazing! Every inch is worthwhile! You can't stop exploring :-) Pool is clean and a good place to relax. Rooms clean and spacious. They didn't serve diner. Only breakfast and easy lunch.

Authentic Thai style to the place with great knick knack decor around the place. The rooms were basic with small vanity but fine for a couple. Staff friendly and location not far from town centre. Best feature defiantly the pool overlooking the river. Great for a beer or two!
