Our 1st impression was that it was something special & some aspects were: the buildings & hotel in general was very different to others in a good location.

I don't believe there are hotels right near the elephant camps and this is a very lovely place to stay. Many tour groups including Viatur will pick you up at the hotel and drive you about an hour or so to the camps.
