We did not stay at the guesthouse but enjoyed lunch at the cafe. Located near the Chang Phueak Gate (North) & many Wats. We ordered the Stir-fry Shrimp with Basil & a Ham & Cheese sandwich, both were very good. They have outdoor or indoor (a/c) seating.

Unable to stay as a guest at the guesthouse--waited too long to make a reservation--But ate numerous times at their restaurant. The atmosphere tranquil, the food delicious and the prices were reasonable. The owners and staff were always friendly--we were never rushed (the bill never was presented until we asked for it). The owners especially Dr. Jaroom truly made us...

I stumbled upon this guesthouse the night before our arrival and couldn't of been happier. The receptionist was incredibly accommodating and the staff was amazing. The in house cafe and restaraunt served great tasting food, from western to thai food. Make friends with Wit, he is a great guy! My wife and Ioved this great location place in Chiang Mai!

Mountain View is located near the North Gate of the Old Town and is convenient to most everything you want to do on your visit to Chiang Mai. Red Trucks can easily be gotten from the front of the hotel to take you outside the city like the zoo, Mae Rim, or Doi Inthanon. If you coming from the airport,...

We love staying at Mountain View Guesthouse in Chiang Mai. We return there every year, and are treated like old friends. Firstly, it's very conveniently located at the Chuang Puk gate. Secondly, it's a charming, timber Thai guest house. Thirdly, the food served in the cafe is cheap, and absolutely delicious. But it's the wonderful, friendly, incredibly helpful staff who...

Really loved this place a lot more than I thought I would. Coming from standard hotels and "resorts" in Thailand with amenities like toiletries, shower/tub, TV, etc., this was still my favorite place I stayed. Mountain View Guest House is located near the North Gate of the old city. It's very affordable and there is something really peaceful about the...

I was staying in a boutique house nearby and stumbled upon this restaurant which caught my attention with its beautiful mini garden outside. There are not many tables but each has its own style, with different deco on the tables. The variety of food is good, ranging from western to thai food. The coffee is also good. I love the...

Some of the staff are the same. Miss Dang always glad to see me and take my reservations on the phone. I always get a Deluxe room. The fan rooms are sparse but cheap and safe. Good location for catching a tuk tuk and the restaurant is convenient for making friends and meeting people. You can find cheaper nearby and...

As I recall, I have been here three times....and if I would go again to Chiang Mai, I would horrase them with my stay. I was studying ancient Thai massage each time for four weeks, stayed in a cheaper lodge and the most expensive one upstairs. In the beautifull garden with ponds, your breakfast or lunch is served and oh...

Nothing spectacular but simply good value for the price you pay in a place like chiang mai. Just inside the old city near the northwrn gate we actually found it quite easy to get around the old town. Most taxis and tuk tuks we took knew where it as who have was very convenient. Overall good services like lockers for...
