5 minutes away from the hustle and the bustle in the old colonial part of the city where you will find wonderful arty boutiques new cafes and riverside restaurants. Over the bridge is an all night flower market - where people buy flowers all night ! The resort is old wooden chalets with an old wooden breakfast and reading room...

Baan Orapin Bed and Breakfast is a perfect location if you want to stay close to the city center and next to the river but you like a beautiful and quite place. We arrived late in the evening and it was almost close to 21.00 when they close. Shortafter we got our rooms and the joice for the bigger /...

quietly tucked away in Chiang Mai is this gem. We found this place through Lonely Planet and were not disappointed. We stayed in three different rooms across our seven night stay since the place was pretty booked (two different front wing rooms and one rear). The staff was so nice and helpful. The breakfasts were amazing....would recommend the Thai Omelet....

I found Baan Orapin through TA not long before my visit to Chiang Mai and was lucky enough to get a Junior Suite in the rear building for my stay which seemed a better option than the hotel in Tha Pae I had booked. I'm glad I made the change as the area around the Gate and the Night Market...

We have just spent 5 days at the Baan Orapin. What a lovely surprise!! A haven of peace and tranquility, after the craziness and "chain hotels" of Bangkok it was so refreshing to stay in such a beautiful "home". The location is ideal as it is just over the river and therefore slightly quieter, whilst at the same time being...

We loved this place. Everything was wonderful. The rooms were nice and roomy, surroundings were beautiful. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was great! We only stayed four nights, but would have loved to stay longer.

This is really a middle-of-the-road priced place but feels much more luxurious. We had to switch rooms during our stay (due to how we booked earlier), and both were very comfortable and clean. We first stayed in a room on the ground floor near the front of the property. The faux mosquito netting canopy over the king bed felt very...

I really don't think I can say enough great things about this place. I stayed here for about a week after spending a month traveling around SE Asia. It's on a busy street but can be easy to miss in passing as all you can see from the street is the gate. Once you walk thru the gate it really...

We loved Chiangmai but probably the best part was staying at Bain Orapin. It is beautiful. The website pictures don't do it justice. We thought we were in a palace. It was definitely fit for royalty. A lush oasis, great location. And Pepsi, the manager, was so good to us- and everyone. It was a treasured experience.
