We paid 380 thb a night for a double room with private bathroom. The shower was not very "powerful" but the water we got out of it was hot enough (It just takes some more time to rince yourself, but hey, you're on vacation anyways :) ) Also bring your own soap, there is not any provided. Bed was firm, but ok. You just get blankets, the bed is not "made" with linnen and sheets. The room was clean. We liked the place. Rooftop is a plus! The owner and his team are nice :) They offer laundry service. The only problem is... There is no soundproofing whatsoever, so depending on who is staying at the guesthouse, you might not get much sleep. Earplugs could be necessary. As I said, good value. Also the location is very central and convenient, in a very nice neighborhood ;) Also, did I mention that they have lovely cats? <3

We stayed here for a total of 4 nights at the beginning of November. The location was absolutely perfect, within walking distance to lots of temples, night markets, shops and other areas of interests. Sid and Irin were very accommodating and knowledgeable, giving us advice on where to go and what to see nearby. Especially about how to get to Doi Suthep. They had an in-house laundry service and access to a printer (for a fee). We upgraded to a room at the back that had hot running water for a few extra baht a night, the room was clean, had a private bathroom and shower and fan. Overall really lovely stay, we will definitely be coming back!!

My partner and I stayed at the Vida guesthouse for 4 nights and were delighted with our stay. The owners are lovely and provided lots of useful information about the area, locations to visit and food markets to check out. The location of Vida is perfect for getting around the old city, all within walking distance. There are also a huge variety of restaurants and cafes nearby. We arrived way before our check in time from Bangkok though Sid was very accommodating and offered us a room immediately (8AM) with a hot shower for only a few extra baht a night... of course we obliged. The room was great, large double bed, private toilet and shower room, a closet, table and chairs and a fan - all in very good order. We were honestly blown away by the hospitality of the owners, the cleanliness of the guesthouse and the relaxed atmosphere. We will 100% be returning on our next Chiang Mai adventure.

One of the nicest hostels we stayed at! Beautiful place, great location and extremely friendly owners! When my girlfriend got sick they helped a lot and even asked a week after we left how she is doing. It's located in a beautiful area inside the old town, you can do ever6ything by walking. We really appreciated the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, especially when coming back after an exhausting day or a long flight! Overall, we can highly recommend to stay there!

The hostel is in a really good location and within easy walking distance of a lot of restaurants, bars, 7 Eleven etc. Staff are really friendly (Irin is so sweet) and they were willing to accomodate us in checking in early in the morning due to an early coach, which was so helpful and something a lot of places might charge for. The bed in our first room was quite uncomfortable, but when I mentioned this to Irin she was super accommodating and let us pick a new room to move to. We also enjoyed spending time on the roof terrace. Overall, we would recommend Vida Guesthouse, of course it isn't luxury, but for the price it represents great value and we had a cosy, comfortable stay. Thank you!

This guesthouse is located in the Old City close to most interesting places in the centre of Chiang Mai. The facilities cover all the basics and are clean. It has a nice rooftop where you can chill out. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I got a lot of help from them. A great place to use as a base for your adventure or holiday in Chiang Mai.

We really enjoyed our stay at Vida! The staff Ya, Irin and Sid were all so friendly and really helpful with providing local tips. We booked to see some muay thai boxing and also to do a cookery class through Ya and thoroughly enjoyed both! Our room was basic but clean and fine for 4 nights. The bed was a bit harder than we would've liked but our only real wish was that we had AC because it was unbearably hot in Chiang Mai when we visited. Very good value and in an excellent location within the old town! Would stay again :)

Maybe see you again in cooler season- should be better as soon we will have some rain (also missing the rain this year- nothing yet, only a few short downpours- hope it will come soon with some cool nights ;-) Enjoy your holiday and see you again.... Pleasure to stay a couple days with an amazing rooftop in the heart of the City. Great staff! Rent a scooter, book trips or go for a smoothie in the area. Absolutt to recommend for many great vegans, lunch and dinner options around the corner.

Clean, central, close to all the places you want to go in the old city, very nice staff, a lot of good people there, beautiful roof top and Happy - the cat that has the perfect name as description for this place. Feels like home! My 3rd time and definitely not my last.
