We stayed (couple plus 15 year old daughter) for a week here. Being just after Chinese New Year, 80% of the guests were Chinese with a smattering of Germans and Scandinavians. Usually our holidays are very social affairs with other families but this one not so. The hotel itself has amazing rooms with views of the sea unsurpassed in their drama. We could see Pattaya lit up at night and the boats and leisure craft during the day. Spectacular. The staff are on another level compared to Western Europe with attentiveness and humility we can only dream of. There are two swimming pools, (we only used the main one) but both are well looked after and idyllic. Pattaya is close by and we spent a few days and evenings touring the shops and bars, though why a taxi driver took us down one particular street we still don’t know. Finally, we had a Thai massage that was part of the package and I really recommend it.

So, why 4* and not 5*? The beach is small and rocky and not really an option while the lower pool is down 70 odd steps. The main pool also only has around 20 or so sun beds, and there must be over 200 rooms in the hotel. There are 8 egg chairs at the end of the pool where sun beds could also be placed, though these are unusable anyway as there is no shade there. True - we always found three sun beds as culturally many of the Chinese guests seem to prefer sitting in a large porch type area. Had this hotel been full of Western Europeans, I think there would have been a lot of frustration. There is also one semi open air restaurant where the food is very good but the menu doesn’t change during the week. There is also an excellent Chinese restaurant inside, but that is not really where you want to go when you are there for the sun. Finally the room did not allow for my personal favourite thing to do on holiday. Whilst the mini bar was complimentary, the balcony is too narrow to be usable. There is no chance to sit together outside with a beer. There is only one chair anyway which is pointless. To me the architect has failed miserably here, the balcony is pointless. Finally the hotel shop is dreadful and does not show that any particular effort has been made to stock it with anything interesting. I don’t know why they bother with it.

So, great staff and at its best a great hotel, but it misses too many chances.

Unfortunately, we were not impressed by the hotel. Position themselves as 5 stars. Of the five stars here, only very high prices in the restaurant and bar. On the plus side: the breakfasts are not bad but are more aimed at Asians, of whom 100% live in the hotel. There is YouTube on TV. They also gave us a room on the 19th floor as requested. View from the windows of the sea (but!) there is construction below and roosters crow in the morning - keep that in mind. The pools are beautiful (but again!) by lunchtime there were no towels and when we asked they said: Quarrel, no. And now to the minuses: they didn’t give me a receipt for the refund of the deposit at the reception - I had to remind. There is no longer a Russian employee at the reception. For 3 days we didn’t meet once. The room is terribly humid. If you turn off the air conditioning, even the mirror in the hallway fogs up and there is condensation on the floor. The room is tired - the hotel is 10 years old. There are very sharp tiles in the pool upstairs - both my husband and I were injured when we swam. I was also very surprised that the 5 star hotel only has one towel per person. There aren't even hand towels. I would also like to note once again that there are 2 construction sites next to the hotel. Well, one last thing: when checking out, we waited quite a long time for our room to be checked. In general, the service at this hotel is clearly poor. I definitely wouldn't come here a second time.

The hotel is located at the end of Soi Na Kluea 24, behind the Center Point Hotel. Parking is on the upper floors and in front of the hotel. Deluxe room with single bed is quite wide, the floor is not carpeted. Delicious breakfast with a variety of food. The beach is a rocky beach with a walkway leading along the beach on the left. The staff provided good service, were polite and smiling.

The rooms were not large but had ocean views and balconies. Located in North Pattaya, a short distance from downtown Pattaya, there was no inconvenience as there was a shuttle service to Terminal 21 every 30 minutes. Two pools and a beach with deck chairs were laid back. Amenities are also available.

A fantastic setting with a pleasant ambiance. However multiple glitches resulted in a disappointing evening. The list: Chinese cuisine was advertised as available. No Chinese on the menu. On seating an order was placed for ice water. The water appeared 20minutes later after 2 additional reminders. There were no napkins - no cloth, no paper no roll of toilet tissue. Spaghetti was requested as the pasta option. Fettuccine showed up when the entree was served. Music was provided by a live entertainer; obnoxiously too loud. 20 minutes after ordering we were informed that 2 of the appetizers were not available. The final bill mistakingly included a charge for one of the non-available appetizers. The food, however, was well presented and quite tasty. The number of snafus, although each might be relatively minor, resulted in a disheartening experience.

No welcome drink upon arrival. Staff were not friendly but helpful. We were grateful that we could check into the room before check in time. The room was nice and free mini bar provided. However, we requested afternoon tea to be served in room - the set was mediocre but the worst part was that tea cup came with the milk stained! Moreover, the picnic set in the evening was such a ripped off. It was 3,000++ baht for some small delights and a bottle of terrible house wine. The quality was bad. I wouldn't recommend it. The breakfast was good, there were several decent options. The concierge provided the best service, they were friendly and helpful.
Overall, it was a comfortable but not enjoyable stay.

The best comes first. The lobby and the view over the see are really impressive. Then one has to accept the weak points. The hotel has aged and needs serious renovation. There was a horrible smell in the corridor to our room. The room itself was ok, but it was not clean. The breakfast both in the main restaurant and in the lounge was so disappointing that after the 2nd day we had the breakfast outside of the hotel. The pool areas are nice. The hotel is located about 10 min from the next mall.

All I can say is that I can’t give a bad review if I want to! It’s very beautiful and very relaxing! I stayed here for 3 days and swam in the infinity pool, and also went to the beach and watched the sunset! The staff’s service is first-rate, and the hotel’s view is of the sea and the beach. , plus it’s a 15-minute walk to terminal 21, and the hotel also provides a 30-minute shuttle bus! I’m glad that I’m a guest of the oil store, and I’m even happier that the buffet breakfast (restaurant and sunrise bar) is included, either in the afternoon or at 7 p.m. You can eat at the sunrise bar before entering the hotel. I hope to spend a happy, romantic, leisurely, quiet and wonderful time with the person I like. Cape Dara is a good choice! I hope I can come back one day!

This was such a lovely resort, with beautiful, relaxing pool areas, amazing views and an absolutely memorable breakfast buffet.
Unfortunately the stay was severely let down by a booking issue and poor response to it. I was travelling with a friend and paid for a twin room with 2 beds over 6 months ago. On check in I was informed there were no twin rooms available (what was the point of booking it then I wonder?), but not to worry, we had been given an 'upgrade' to a higher floor spa room and they would arrange a separate bed to be added. I was happy with this until the extra bed arrived and was essentially just a cot. We enquired again if there were any other twin rooms available but told there were none. I then endured an absolutely horrible night's attempted sleep on the very hard, far too short bed, and after a total of about 2 hours sleep, spent the next day very achy and tired. In retrospect I would have been far more comfortable sleeping by the pool in a sun lounger!
Reported this issue to reception on check out, who apologised but made no move to compensate me through reducing the bill.
Would not stay again due to what I consider very poor customer service and a disorganised booking system, such a shame.
