The Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya garners appreciation for its attentive service and family-friendly atmosphere, with guests often lauding the clean, expansive pool and diverse breakfast options. Some travelers, however, raise concerns about the soundproofing of rooms and the occasional outdated decor.
While many enjoy the hotel's prime location near the beach and its unique musical vibe, including instrument check-out services, opinions on value vary with some guests finding it reasonable and others pointing out overcharges and worn facilities.

Stayed here as the last stop on our honeymoon and we had a fantastic time! Our room was on the 6th floor and overlooked the sea/pool - fabulous view! The staff were so friendly and polite, they even sent us a gorgeous chocolate cake to our room as a honeymoon treat :-) The pool is lovely and it’s nice to sit at the pool bar - drinks a bit on the expensive side though! Breakfast was fantastic, they even had 2 lots of bacon - some done “normal” and some cooked well! Added bonus was the HP sauce which I love on my breakfast but never get in any hotels anywhere!!!! If we ever head back to Pattaya then we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again 😎

We stayed in a family suite with our family of five. The bunk beds were 150cm long, so our 6th grade child was just barely able to sleep in them. The room had two showers and a bathtub, so it was nice that the five of us could shower smoothly after the pool. Since it was a family suite, check-in and check-out were possible in the lounge on the 9th floor. You can go to the lounge freely and enjoy snacks and drinks. The sunset looks very beautiful. The children drank chocolate milk from the lounge every day. The croissants were also delicious. There was a wide variety of breakfast options.
We were planning to focus on the pool this trip, so there was also a slide and pool activities. We went to the pool every day. The pool, which was modeled after a beach, was shallow, so our 2-year-old daughter could walk in it, and she seemed to enjoy it. There were also many deck chairs by the pool, so we never had a problem finding a seat. It was easy to get to the beach in front of the pool, so it was easy to go back and forth.
I used the gym once, and although it wasn't big, it was clean. It wasn't crowded.
Most of the hotel staff were very kind to the children and were very friendly. This was my first time staying at the Hard Rock Hotel, and the unique atmosphere was really interesting! Since we have three children, my husband and I did our best to do the laundry in the sink. The hotel has a laundry service, but no washing machines. That was inconvenient, but we managed to make it work. Also, the refrigerator is a little small, so even if we bought a lot of things, we couldn't fit them in. This time, we were able to use the lounge, so we mostly drank juice there or got some before going out, so it didn't feel particularly inconvenient. Above all, the children were happy to be able to use the lounge, as it felt special.
It's convenient to get around by songthaew. However, it's always congested, so it took about 20 minutes by songthaew to get to Jomtien Beach. There is a small night market near the hotel, so we didn't go too far and spent time nearby.
I think it's a very comfortable and enjoyable hotel, considering the pool, rooms, and food overall. It was my first stay in Pattaya, but I was able to spend a relaxing time with my family, and it was a great day.

My wife and I recently stayed here and it exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the composer suite which was an amazing and spacious room. It had a separate lounge room (which was massive) and also had a second bathroom. The views were stunning from both the lounge room and bedroom, and the bed itself was very comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was also spacious and had both a shower and bath tub.
If you stay here we definitely recommend choosing the composer suite, it also gives you access to the composer lounge on level 9 where there is daily refreshments. There is also happy hour each evening with a selection of delicious cocktails, ice cold beers, soft drinks and finger food whilst enjoying the beautiful views of the beach.
Definitely recommend getting breakfast in your package also, plenty of choices which includes both local and western cuisines.
The hotel itself is in a great location right on the beach, and walking distance to the shops, restaurants and also a couple of beach bars. Speaking of bars the hotel has a couple of bars in the hotel itself. We recommend visiting the outdoor bar which overlooks the beach and has live music on of an evening, it’s a great atmosphere and vibe.
And finally the staff are amazing, they are very friendly and hospitable. This always makes a stay more enjoyable when you have great people working in the hotel. A big Thankyou to Paris who took great care of us during our stay and made us feel so welcome, along with Jean, Pop, Rosie, Nun & Mai who were wonderful also. We look forward to returning.

It started when we were told about a refurbishment at the hotel that was not shown when booking. We informed the hotel that we wished to cancel because of this, were told we could cancel but not get a refund. We had booked TWO deluxe rooms with city views and got a view of dirty ceilings and a rundown hotel. The carpets in the room are dirty, I bought slippers that turned completely black after 3 days. During our stay we could not shower in our rooms, note that we called about this on several occasions. In one room the water was brown and the other became cold after about 2 minutes. The pumps with soap and shampoo did not work, we reported this as many times as with the showers. The pool was unfresh and many hotel guests bathed with the clothes of not only certain religions.
We chose to check out a day and a half earlier. We were not compensated, when we were checking out I realized that we needed to go to the bathroom in the room. But was not allowed to use the toilet for them to be cleaned. Such simple recurring things occurred during the stay. I thought Hardrock as a brand could do better than this. We were not compensated in any way! Not even a Coke from the mini fridge. We had rooms 240 and 241! We were not allowed to change rooms when the hotel was fully booked - we saw that it was possible to book rooms on booking, Agoda etc.
Overall, the hotel needs to be refreshed. Hardrock owes us four days of our vacation and we would love to know how to do it. The fact that they print that it is boring with a bad experience helps no one! Can't understand how this hotel has received such good reviews.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and the hotel was very friendly and helpful. I think if these guys were to take care of the whole place, service would be much better!

A couple and an elementary school student stayed for two nights in August.
Notable is the swimming pool. The main pool was 1.6 meters deep and I thought the kids would be fine, but we had fun with floating rings and a big beatboard-like float we rented (200 Baht a day).
There are basket goals, and when it's time to hold activities. In an activity like water polo, adults and children of various nationalities were divided into two teams and the participating children were overjoyed to be allowed to finish.
The sand pool below was like being on a real beach, this one was 0.6 to 0.8 meters deep. There were four different sliders in the sandy pool, plus a kids pool. They could swim until 21:00, so the kids were enjoying the night pool, which is hard to do in Japan.
The staff are very friendly, participating in activities to liven things up.
The Reservation deluxe room had a distant sea view and a small balcony. Shower without bathtub only. The room size was compact but no problem.
For the morning buffet, there is an open kitchen of pancakes, rotis, egg dishes and noodles, and you can make whatever you like. It was nice to see the noodles in a different soup for two days. There were many kinds and the porridge was delicious. The child was eating a lot of pancakes.
¥28,300 for two nights, plus 170 Baht per day for children's morning buffet. The facility itself is a bit old, but convenient along the beach road, very reasonable and a hotel to go again.

It's my second stay, but I don't think I'll ever repeat it. The impression from the street is that it looks like a festival and everyone wants to go and have fun. In fact, when I stayed there, it was interesting at first, but then I got bored of the unique interior, and I got tired of the number of people, so after three nights it was already good. The pool area is constantly hosting events, and it's extremely noisy because it's worrying about tourists coming and going that aren't staying overnight, so I can't spend my time calmly. The room is also quite small and still feels very cramped, so it is far from relaxing in the room. Therefore, I think it's enough to stay here only once for things to try out. For the same price, Amari or Dosit Thani is significantly more comfortable at the top.

Very nice hotel, adjacent to the beach, with a well thought out and attractive pool area that gets the sun so where from about 9am to 6pm. There is shade if you want it, and umbrellas. There is a variety of music playing constantly, but at a low, non-intrusive volume. The whole hotel is kept spotless by the excellent staff who always seem pleased to see you. It makes a big difference, and I felt valued. My room was spacious with a massive comfortable bed, it's own sound system and a TV with a comprehensive set of options. Plenty of water was supplied daily. The WiFi was excellent throughout the hotel, and the was a safe in the room. I only had breakfast there, and there was a very wide selection to cater for the world wide clientele. It is located on Beach Road, about 20 minutes to walk to Walking Street, or there is a bus stop right at the exit. You are spoilt for choice for nearby eateries, from the Runway Street market located under a Jumbo jet, to more up market restaurants. Although Pattaya has many 'X' rated activities, it is perfectly safe for families, and there is plenty to do there. The beach is nice, and it's worth going north to some smaller beaches.

Never seen so many kids in a pool, which is ok but thought the brand was aimed at people into rock music, not kids into mickey mouse. Was also told there would be minor maintenance in pool area during my stay which would not impact relaxing by the pool. The angle grinder went all day most days. Staff were superb and friendly. Room was not very soundproof and you really need that when there are that many kids

We arrived late January and are currently still here so wanted to do an up to date review. On arrival we had to do a Covid test which our 4 year old hates however the staff were incredibly helpful and when she found out all she needed to do was a saliva sample it was easy to get her to do the test. The meet and greet team were informative, friendly and couldn’t offer anymore assistance. Once checked in we went to our room on the 10th floor with a city view which was fine, a huge comfy bed, tv with not many channels but some free to view movies, tea coffee, water and a fridge. The housekeeping staff were the best we’ve come across in Thailand ever and Tom was superb. Every member of the team remembered our names and made a point of saying hello or asking if we needed anything. The pool is huge and fairly warm, there’s a nice pool bar and some slides in a kids pool. The pool staff are entertaining and on certain days kids activities are provided in the pool. The kids club is 100 baht an hour but includes a free toy or painting set and again very friendly staff. Breakfast was a bit restricted due to low numbers in the hotel but the choice was still good and if you wanted something else they would accommodate you if possible. We are a few times in the restaurant and became friends with many of the team. It took us a week to find out there’s a kids menu which we would have benefitted from earlier but once we found it we used it. Charlie on security was always smiling and helpful, the whole security team are cheerful and take great care of your safety to ensure only guests are allowed in. There are plenty of no smoking areas which is great for us but smokers are also looked after in separate areas. We were lucky to have chosen this hotel after years of just driving past and we will certainly return on future visits. 100% the staff make this a memorable trip and we look forward to seeing them again soon.
