Recently, we stayed at the Royal Cliff Beach Terrace hotel in Pattaya for the third time, and once again, it was a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt immediately welcomed by the extremely friendly and helpful staff, who spare no effort to provide us with an unforgettable stay.
The hotel itself is beautifully located with a wonderful view of the sea. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very comfortably furnished. The balcony gave us the chance each morning to enjoy the magnificent view and the tranquility of the surroundings. Moreover, everything is taken care of down to the last detail, and you can tell a lot of attention is paid to hygiene and maintenance.
One of the greatest highlights of the Royal Cliff Beach Terrace is undoubtedly the service. The staff is ready to assist you at any time of day: they are happy to help with questions, offer tips about the area, and ensure that you want for nothing. The breakfast buffet is also of high quality, offering a wide selection of both Western and Asian dishes, all beautifully presented. You feel at home right away thanks to the warm service from “Sumshi, phonetic” at breakfast, Wilasinee at happy hour, and the personal service in the Japanese sushi restaurant.
The location is ideal for those who want to relax on the beach, at the gigantic swimming pool, or explore the Pattaya area. The hotel offers numerous facilities, including multiple pools, restaurants, and bars, so you can fully enjoy yourself—all within walking distance.
In short, our third time at the Royal Cliff Beach Terrace was once again fantastic. The combination of the stunning hotel, the excellent service, and the unparalleled hospitality makes it a place we love returning to again and again. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

I have just returned from a trip to Royal Cliff Beach Hotel, and it was a truly magnificent stay. Before I get into the details, I must first praise the staff for the incredible hospitality that we were shown; throughout our stay our needs were anticipated rather than asked for, everyone exuded such genuine warmth and kindness, and the service was exemplary wherever we went.
Room: My friend and I shared a twin room that overlooked the sea. The room itself was a good size and comfortable for two people. It was clean and had seating areas and a balcony, which we used to enjoy the stunning view of the sea. I'm picky when it comes to bathrooms, and I was so happy ours! The pressure and temperature of the shower were perfect and the bathroom had enough privacy for two guests to share a room.
Breakfast: All I can say is WOW. There was such an inviting selection of foods to try with all manner of tastes catered for. Usually, hotel breakfast buffets can be hot or miss, but the spread here was fantastic. My favourite was the cheese dosa with tomato chutney, but I also thoroughly enjoyed the salads, pastries, and Western dishes. Even my friend, who is a trained chef, was seriously impressed.
Restaurants: As a special treat for my friend's birthday I booked Breezeo, which is a casual dining, beachside restaurant. The cocktails were fun, the food was delicious, and the sunset view was spectacular. The staff even brought out a surprise chocolate mousse cake while the band sang happy birthday. My friend felt so spoilt!
I'm a huge fan of Indian cuisine and have been on the hunt for the best food (and gulab jaman) in Thailand. And I found it. We, again, had an exquisite view of the sea, all while enjoying mouthwatering dishes from the Indian subcontinent. The Chicken 65 was like an elevated fried chicken with tantalising depth, while the Paneer Butter Masala was one of the best I've ever had. I pretty much ate all the Vegetable Achar (pickle) myself because I couldn't get enough, and the Chana Masala (chickpeas) was up there with my mum's. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and we had a wonderful time there. Now the gulab jaman... It's one of my favourite desserts and I have struggled to find one I like here, but the one at Maharani tasted like home and that made me so happy. We took some food back to Bangkok with us, which I'm looking forward to having again today.
Spa: I always make a point of trying out treatments on vacation. My friend had the Ying and Yang Massage and I had the Ayurvedic Oil Massage. The team guided us on the different options, and what they recommended based on our concerns and desired outcomes. Before our treatments, we were offered roselle-infused water, and then we headed to our beautifully decorated treatment rooms. Our massages were incredible! Mine was so good that I fell asleep for a short while! The technique was one of the best I've experienced and I'd highly recommend booking yourself in for a massage, especially if you're struggling with jet lag.
Beach: The hotel has a private beach to enjoy. It was clean, uncrowded, and sandy; great for a morning or post-lunch walk.
Would 100% visit again!

Had a memorable family holiday for 7 days at Royal cliff. Not a single moment we felt that we are getting bored. It has the best view, swimming pools, restaurants and infrastructure. It’s indeed a ROYAL experience to stay here. The hotel also serves great Indian food. The manager was even accommodative to help us get Indian food in breakfast as per our choice. Mr Pema at the Dosa counter makes amazing dosas. I especially liked Onion chilli dosa made by him. Keep it up. Amazing hospitality.
Only a small feedback to front office staff to make check in experience simple. We had provided our passport copies by email before our travel dates and the vouchers sent by hotel had the booking amount clearly mentioned. Still we had to spend some 20 minutes extra because as per the front office staff amount required to be paid was higher by 600 bahts.

NOT A 5* AVOID AT ALL COSTS We have booked at this hotel and the sink was blocked and had no hot running water so we were unable to have a shower and use the sink. Water pressure is also weak. Furniture is out dated and shabby. It took them a day to react after complaining. They have now moved us to another room where we cannot peacefully sit on the balcony nor on the beach due to the noise of construction- constant drilling all day long. Look for a modern more peaceful hotel as the price does not reflect the poor standard it has

We booked the hotel as we expected to be in the hotel more than usual as we were traveling with our 9 month old baby. We therefore wanted to stay in a nice hotel and we chose Royal Cliff Beach because of the balcony with a view of the pool and the sea. We expected to be able to enjoy the silence and the fantastic view of the sea/pool. What we didn't expect was for 4 major events to be held next to the pool/in front of our balcony during our 12 night stay. The photo shows the event taken from our balcony. The events were large (up to 900 people) with a large stage and loud music. The events also required setting up the stage/sound checks, so we were also bothered by the noise level the day before (so much so that our baby couldn't sleep by the pool some days and we were therefore locked in the room). The hotel staff recommended that we move to a (cheaper) room at one of their other hotels, where it was quieter. Unfortunately, it was just not what we had expected/booked before we left home. Alternatively, we would have to pay more to use their more luxurious hotel. We asked for an upgrade, which they refused. It is perfectly fine that the hotel holds events, but we miss having been informed about it in terms of booking. Then we had found another hotel with peace and a pool.
The baby bed we got is very old. The mattress is made of plastic, which is of course good in case of an accident. However, this means that our baby sweats so much that we cannot use it. Sleeping on plastic in such heat is hard. We have also not been given a towel or blanket for her.
We ate at the hotel restaurant. When my husband finished eating his dish mine still hadn't been served. We therefore canceled it and left. The restaurant is the most expensive we have experienced in the city and you pay 10% for service. Therefore, the food must also be served at the same time. We have also been to their sunset bar, where we also canceled our drinks due to the long wait.
Overall a nice hotel. Not a place to go with a baby or if you want peace.

What has happened is the guests on the same floor have been making extreme noise at around 11.00PM which went for an hour so you couldn’t sleep. The hotel echoes really bad so any noise carries through as there is no carpet its all tiles 1. I first asked them to quieten down only not to 2. I then reported them to the front desk and person could hardly understand a word I said and eventually understood that I was making a complaint about people in the hallway (group of 10 of them) been extremely noisy and inconsiderate 3. I then had to call a 2nd time to make another complaint about the same people only again to be miss understood. Eventually she said we can move you to another room if they are noisy rather than address the issue. 4. I went to down to speak to them and asked for the duty manager (name is Chaiyanan – SNR Deputy Resident Manager ) . 5. He came out and commented that housekeeping went up and there was no noise . I had to literally say to him are you calling me liar before he took me serious 6. After much deliberation I said to him so want me to move rooms rather address the issues – and again he said we don’t know where the noise is coming from. 7. I told him that I am so upset with these people and your staff I will be checking out in the morning and will give them a zero rating and terrible review after how I have been treated and them allowing the guests to do be so loud. 8. I asked that a report be written up for the morning duty manager (name is Pheeraya SNR Deputy Resident Manager) to be understand what has occurred and that l will check out and want a refund for the three nights because of there miss management of the situation.

Dear Valued Guest, We deeply regret the inconvenience you experienced during your stay with us. Our night manager initially struggled to identify the source of the noise disturbance as it was not consistently loud. As a result, we immediately arranged a quieter room for you so you could rest while our night manager and security team continued to locate the exact room causing the disturbance. However, as you did not wish to move, the night manager remained on the floor, awaiting the noise to recur. Once identified, our team addressed the matter promptly, and the other guests cooperated immediately, resulting in no further disturbances. In light of the situation, we offered you an upgraded room and you could choose to stay in this room for the remainder of your stay. As you declined this offer so the next day our senior management extended a complimentary afternoon tea and a two-step upgrade for your entire stay. The beautiful room assigned to you was located away from all the guests. Regrettably, you declined all our offers and consistently expressed your frustration and aggression towards our team. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. We hope other travelers reading this will understand that we genuinely care for all our guests and did our utmost to rectify the situation. However, the intense emotions and consistent shouting made it exceedingly challenging. Importantly, our team maintained their composure and remained polite throughout the ordeal. Best Regards, Royal Cliff’s Management Team

Beautiful location, well maintained hotel, large area, chic swimming pools.
Cons
1.There is no full beach, there is a narrow strip with sunbeds above the sea, the water must be entered by stone steps, it can be in the tide deep.
2. Outdoor access to restaurants and shops is closed. To get there, you have to pay a taxi to leave and enter every time or walk across the adjacent beach climbing steep and high stairs, for the elderly it is not possible.
3. If you want to invite a friend, guest to your room you will have to pay 1000 baht.
4. The fitness club is not in the hotel itself. We have to wait for the electric car, drive it to the fitness club. Then if you suddenly arrive wearing the wrong shoes, or clothes you will be rudely thrown out of the club without offering any alternative.
Be careful when choosing this hotel, there are both pros and cons

Great hotel. We were having a family vacation with a baby, I really liked it. Very polite staff, in all matters helped, upon arrival at the hotel decided to change rooms on another floor, everything was done without problems. Breakfast is good, for all tastes, a large selection of pools, there is also a pool for children. The beach is decent in size, moderately clean, closed due to the influx of jellyfish.

Hotel a little old but pretty beautiful overall. Take absolutely a room with ocean view because the view is beautiful and the sunset incredible. The breakfast with buffet is quite varied we always find something to eat well. The beach is not very beautiful but it is the case in many places in Thailand, especially in Pattaya. Swimming pool very large and beautiful but really too cold! The hotel manager should find a way to heat the pool water a little. Close to the city center of Pattaya we get there for cheap by taking a taxi on the Bolt app.

The hotel is lovely and the room provided had a wonderful view. My room rate included breakfast. The breakfast was great but I should have chosen a room rate without breakfast and paid for it separately. The reason is the breakfast included room rate was the same for either a single or double occupancy room. The difference between the two was higher than the buffet cost. I was traveling solo so I paid more to have the breakfast included. This was my mistake in not realizing this when I made the reservation.
There was a huge wedding going on for several days. It was nice to witness but there was some noise which the hotel did apologize for, in advance.
The pools and restaurants were great.
I would stay here again but I would take a room only rate if traveling solo.
