We booked to stay here in April after reading all the raving reviews but sadly it wasn't what we expected. Firstly they forgot to pick us up from the airport even though they begged us to book transfers. Then you get to your room. There's fruit but no knife to cut it with. You go to the bathroom and wash...

So I traveled with a group of about 10 friends, we are all about 26 or so...we were looking for a nice hotel, decent price, good location central to the main tourist sites and the Rising Dragon 2 was all of that and more. Morning breakfast was awesome. Tony is amazing with email correspondence, helped books transport at cheaper prices...

We stayed for two nights in this hotel. Reception staff were excellent. They were very helpful and gave us a number of restaurant recommendations near the hotel that turned out to be excellent. The room was at the back of the hotel and because of the Vietnamese architecture (long narrow buildings) there were no windows to speak of. This takes...

This hotel has all that you will ever need in Hanoi. The staff here are amazing. They took the hard work out of every thing. I strongly suggest that you stay at this hotel if travelling to Hanoi. Right in the middle of shopping, food and great night life. It maybe a little hotel but the staff here treat you...

I began my ten month stay in Viet Nam at the Rising Dragon II hotel, and in my whole time in country I didn't find a better hotel. The hotel has everything you need in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and location, but what really sets it apart is the stellar staff. They'll tell you the hotel is a family, and...

The Rising Dragon II is quite simply the most wonderful hotel. The rooms are lovely, and the staff goes above and beyond the call of duty to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. This place is truly a home in Hanoi. I will never stay anywhere else

We made a reservation through the hotel website for $45/night. We arranged a pickup taxi from the airport for $15 (from the hotel). Good points: the location of the hotel from the main center, the extremely kind employees, the excellent breakfast, the cheap laundry service, and their help finding us tickets for the water puppet theater. Not so good: we...

The reception area gives the impression of a fairly mid-quality hotel but the rooms are very well kitted out and large given the price. The staff were fantastic, couldn't have been more helpful.

Was redirected here after finding our chosen hotel full, thankfully we did. Whose ever heard of valet parking for mopeds? Food was excellent, service impeccable and ultra friendly staff. I know the Vietnamese are friendly etc, but after two weeks traveling the staff at The Rising Dragon stood out. When I return next year the only hotel I am going...
