All the staff were incredibly welcoming and very helpful, was given advice on the best places to go- as well as offering to sort out transport. Great location, within walking distance of temples and good shopping too. Would definitely stay again!

I would definitely recommend booking this hotel if visiting Hanoi. I would describe it as a 4* Contemporary Boutique Hotel in a great location 15 minutes walk into Old Quarter. It was ideal if you wanted to be away from the hectic Old Quarter area as this can tend to be noisy especially in the evening time. All staff were...

great location, fantastic helpful staff, beautiful breakfasts, lovely beds, marvellous place to stay when in Hanoi, terrific jump off point for Ha Long Bay and the Water Puppet show, close to some brilliant restaurants.

We stayed here 1 night, then did a 2 night Halong bay cruise, and returned for 1 night. In that time we were treated to the friendliest hotel staff , quality breakfast, clean and very comfortable rooms. We felt like we were coming home on our return from Halong Bay. Would definitely recommend the hotel when staying in Hanoi. It...

The hotel is small but the rooms are clean and modern. The restaurant is very good serving western and Vietnamese food. Close to a jazz bar and The Cowboy Bar for late night entertainment. I always stayed there when I was in Hanoi.

The Mercure Hanoi La Gare Hotel is ideally situated for travellers who want to take in the interesting attractions of the old quarter, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, take a walk across Long Biên Bridge or just generally get out and about to experience life in this very busy city. Our accommodation was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was of...

Hotel was in a great location for me, I arrived by train and the hotel was only a few minutes walk from the station. There were some great restaurants within a short walking distance from the hotel and the staff were very helpful

A very average hotel, located outside the old quarter. Beds were nice, bathroom was ordinary, breakfast ok. This hotel was good for shelter, it wasnt one I was keen to spend too much time in. The boutique hotels in the old quarter, looked more appealing and are in a better location for experiencing Hanoi city.

I found this hotel on trip advisor and rather then book online I decided to just walk in. My traveling companion was at a coffee shop watching the luggage and it made sense for me to check in alone and come back for everything. Booking.com quoted me $2,009,243.00 per night. About 90 dollars. When I got in and booked the...
