Real hidden gem. The rooms are beautifully presented and the bed was so, so comfy. Best night's sleep ever. Front desk staff were extremely freindly and helpful. The restaurant is good, if a little expensive for Hanoi.
Perfect location close to the kake in old quarter . Rooms are small with no nice view but are well set and charming . Sound proofing is rather poor but staff is nice . Breakfast is ok and rooftop bar offer a nice lake view
Great location within the old quarter and surrounded by quite a few good restaurants. Nice roof top bar and restaurant to have over view of the lake. Staff and friendly but seems like they are still new and sometimes not really react fast. With the money i paid, i do expect the room should be bigger and more spacious. So i do expect have free upgrade of room when i know there is availability but they some how tell me based on their hotel policy i need to top up. That one i not very happy with it as their room is small and i already checked with the hotel in advance and they reply me subject to room availability but they give me free room upgrade since i brought babies and their room is small. but when i reached for check-in, the check-in reception still inform me if i want bigger room i need to top up to pay...while the person who replied my email said i can get free-upgrade but subject to availability went on leave! that kind of pissed me off as in the first place they should not promise me in email if they cannot offer free-upgrade based on room availability. Nevertheless, i not sure is it due to this issue when i check-out hotel , the hotel gave me a nice local souvenir. That at least make me felt a bit "compensated" psychology but i not too sure whether actually all the guests will get the same token of souvenirs regardless.…
Perfectly located right in the heart of old Hanoi, with all the hustle and bustle, but inside the lobby is an oasis of peace and calm. Obviously some care has been taken in choosing the fixtures and furniture of this hotel- quality stylish and comfortable An utterly charming young lady, Moon, was our first contact when she checked us in, and the first example of this hotel’s lovely staff. We had a grand suite with a lake view - fabulous room - loved the handwritten welcome note, complimentary fruit, water and nibbles. Huge very comfortable bed and excellent shower. The complementary bath accessories were eco friendly and good quality. Breakfast is served on the 10 floor with fantastic views of the lake and city. Extensive range of both western and Asian foods on offer. The food from the al a carte menu was excellent and presentation outstanding, loved the fresh juices in bottles. Probably one of the very best breakfast range and quality I’ve experienced The kindness of the staff here is exceptional, firstly when they realised we were having an ultra early start to the airport they insisted that they prepare a takeaway pack of food for us, secondly when we asked where we might be able to buy some face masks (our next port of call was Hong Kong, Jimmy (front desk manager) said unlikely to find any near hotel but as he lived on outskirts he would get us some (wow awesome service) - when we checked out at 0300 true to his word was a pack of face masks, along with packed breakfast and Vietnamese coffee, fabulous If you want a hotel within walking distance of eateries of all types, easy access of places to visit (Grab works really well here), fab views from Sky bar and restaurant and to due for service then come here, you won’t regret it Thank you Jimmy, Moon, Lucy and Miley…
We stayed in one of the grand suites with lake view in mid January. The hotel was new. The suite was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The view of Hoan Kiem lake from the lounge of the suite was lovely. The bedroom had view of the neighbourhood and I could see people in another hotel across the street, so I had to close the curtains whenever I was in the bedroom. hotel is in a market area; therefore, a bit of street noise could be heard from the suite, but it was not too bad. (I’m very sensitive to noise, but could still sleep well). The bathroom was spacious and very clean. The rooftop bar had an even better view of the lake, but their drinks were only average. The restaurant also had nice view. Breakfast was excellent. I really loved their bottled fresh smoothie and cream caramel. Dinner was a bit hit-and-miss. The flavour and the presentation were beautiful, but the chicken dish was slightly undercooked, so I did not eat it. The manager asked for our feedback upon checking out, and when she realised that the food wasn’t perfect, she offered to refund and compensate by paying for our taxi fare to the airport. We however refused, but really appreciated the gesture. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I had issues with the air conditioner and they fixed it promptly. Extra water, iron and iron board were also provided promptly after being requested. They also organised a taxi to the airport for us at a cheaper price compared to the cost of our trip from the airport. In summary I like the lake view from the suite, the sumptuous breakfast as well as their excellent service. I would stay in O’Gallery Classy Hotel again if I come back to Hanoi. …
