We had the pleasure of staying at the Oriental Jade Hotel twice during our trip, and each time, it exceeded our expectations! The central location made it easy to explore the city's best attractions, restaurants, and markets, all just steps away (and has the best AC in town).
The real highlight, however, was the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived, they were so kind, welcoming, and always went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their warmth and helpfulness truly made our stay memorable and for sure will have us returning to visit soon.
The hotel itself feels luxurious, with beautifully designed, spotless rooms that offer comfort and elegance at a very reasonable price. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and we were always greeted with the highest level of service.
We have already recommend this hotel to our friends who will be visiting soon – they are sure to love it just as much as we did! Thank you, Oriental Jade, for making our time in Hanoi so special!! -Brie & Mike

This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have travelled quite a lot. While the facilities and location are great, it is the people who work here that set this hotel apart from the rest.
I stayed at the Oriental Jade in late July 2024. My partner and I were booked for 3 nights and were due to fly home back to Australia after that. On our last night I got a very severe stomach infection (I believe from eating at a local restaurant, we ate in the hotel each morning with no issues). I was in extreme pain and was barely able to talk, and was on the verge of fainting when I tried to walk. My partner contacted the hotel reception at 2am and requested an ambulance. The receptionist on that night, Son, decided to drive us to the hospital himself so we could leave straight away. Son drove us very carefully to the local hospital. Son came in with us and translated for us, as we were unable to communicate with the staff (they spoke very broken english). We did not ask Son to come in, but he did anyway and was incredible in assisting us. The first hospital were unable to help us and directed us to another hospital further away, and Son then drove us there as well.
It was all a bit of a blur for me over the next few hours, but Son stayed with us in the emergency room and helped us communicate with the doctors. We never asked him to stay and help us, but he was so kind. I can recall him standing near the bed and reassuring me that I would be okay and that the medical staff here were really good. The hospital had very basic care, no blankets, pillows or water. My partner did not want to leave my side, and Son (without being asked again) left and bought me a blanket, pillow and water.
I had to have various tests done at the hospital and Son stayed with us and helped my partner wheel my bed across the hospital to wherever I needed to be. He was so respectful, gentle and caring, I honestly couldn't believe he had stayed with us for so long. I believe he stayed at the hospital for around 4 hours, before being called back to the hotel. At this point my pain had been managed and treatment at the hospital had started, so we were now okay to be on our own.
I honestly still cannot believe that he stayed with us, totally free of charge and helped us so much. It was incredibly scary going to a foreign hospital with such severe symptoms and not being able to communicate with them properly or understand what was happening, and Son made us feel so safe and looked after. I can't thank him enough, I don't know what we would have done without him. We left a physical review at the hotel about what Son did for us, but if management is reading this, please make sure he is looked after, he is one of a kind. He deserves a promotion.
We also had to stay 2 more nights in Hanoi as I wasn't well enough to fly home, and the Oriental Jade extended our stay straight away, adjusting meals to accommodate what I needed to eat while recovering and also giving us a late checkout free of charge so I could continue resting before my flight.
Obviously I would highly recommend booking at the Oriental Jade for any tourist. I believe the level of care we received would be rare to find anywhere else.

From the reception to the onward journey: everything was right here. Welcome drink, Friendliest, most helpful staff. Perfect room service. Modern room (Emerald twin), big enough with everything you need (even toothbrush, toothpaste and razor), very quiet on top (including the AC) and with 2 wide, not too soft beds. Rooftop pool and bar with beautiful views over old Hanoi and Hoan Kiem Lake. The breakfast as a high-quality , wide-ranging buffet with open kitchen for individual wishes (egg dishes, pancakes etc), class gym! The hotel (in the form of competent manager Brian) helped us with bookings for onward travel, no more expensive than on the road(!), but with the best advice.

I stayed at the Oriental Jade for 2 nights, separated by a 2 night stay at Halong Bay, on the recommendation of a close friend who had stayed there recently. Overall, mMy partner and I received excellent service from the team. The rooms were clean and well equipped and the breakfast selection great. The location is perfect for exploring both the Old Quarter and French Quarter and it's close to the lake, where the streets are closed to pedestrians at the weekend (nice atmosphere). When we checked out after our first night, we were able to leave our luggage safely and we were asked about anything they could do to improve our second night. When we returned from Halong Bay, we were given a room with a bathtub, responding directly to our feedback that a bathtub would be appreciated. The manager, Brian, came to speak to us personally to welcome us back and the team also allowed us to use the spa showers before our 23.00 flight departure, which allowed us to fly refreshed. The team even organised a complementary taxi to the airport and gave us a leaving gift to wish us on our way. Really exceptional service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Oriental Jade to friends or business travellers.

From the very beginning, Ms. Jolene Do managed our reservation with attention to detail. We tagged on a night of stay at Stellar of the Seas cruise at Halong Bay, and the package deal impressed with its value and quality. She let us split it three ways, and we charged our visas before our arrival. Ms. Do initially recommended a day trip to Ninh Binh, and we decided on the 11th hour to go, and boy, am I glad that we did it.
At the airport, due to the explicit details on how to avoid scammers, our driver picked us up in a nice van without any glitch. After the front desk staff greeted us with champagne glasses brimming with fresh juice, we settled into a spacious emerald room with a connecting twin room. The main bedroom’s windows look out to the street, and the construction noise/street hustle were discernable. We were moved to the fifth floor from the third floor, which definitely reduced the city noise. AC delivered robust chill, which helped with the humid weather outside.
The hotel's location was superb. We walked to all attractions including Hanoi Hilton, the Mausoleum, Water Puppet Show (across the street), Pho 10, Banhmi 25, Bun cha Huong Lien (Obama/Bourdain lunch spot), Pho Gia Truyen, and Cha Ca. The hotel's tips on how to cross streets/haggle proved to be useful, albeit hilarious to read.
Brian from the concierge arranged our day trip to Ninh Binh the day before, and he stated, “I’ll choose the bet guide for you,” and he delivered. Son and his driver Phuong showed up promptly at 8 AM, and they orchestrated an unforgettable, stunning day. Starting with a boat ride around the Skull Island, he took us to view a family of water buffalos. Our next agenda, a lunch with Son’s family in law—the hospitality, the food, and the beauty of their home could not compare to anything else I’ve done on this trip. After the Michelin star worthy family lunch, we cycled around the idyllic countryside, and met the happiest puppy, ducklings, goats, chickens…and an ostrich?! As an animal lover, I was in heaven. The whole scene reminded me of Monet’s water lily painting…but more bewitching and vivid.
Son is a movie buff, and he delighted us with his insight and a fascinating glimpse into his world views. Phuong’s reputation as the “transporter” paid out as he navigated Hanoi’s murderous Friday night traffic better than Jason Statham.
After the lovely day, we decompressed on the rooftop bar overlooking the lake. Our bartenders poured us a generous helping of Vodka, and there it was—one of the most beautiful hotel stays to date.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in this hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by the extremely friendly and attentive staff who took our bags and started to check us in. While they were arranging our room (they let us check in early), they served us welcome drinks and snack and walked us through some local recommendations. The lobby is beautiful and smells so good. The hotel is very well air conditioned so made it a relief to come inside after walking around the hot and humid Hanoi summer streets. The room was small but more spacious than I was expecting for a city like Hanoi. Everything was high quality, comfortable, and beautiful in the room. The breakfast was included and fantastic. Every time we walked in or out of the hotel the staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The location is great and we were able to walk around to most things we wanted to explore during our short time in Hanoi. The staff seems really committed to making sure the guests have a comfortable, good, and welcoming stay. I would absolutely recommend staying here and would stay again if I return to Hanoi.

The Oriental Jade Hotel, which I chose when visiting Hanoi for 3 days and 1 night, was the best. 1) Excellent location - You can reach St. Joseph's Cathedral and Hoan Kiem Lake in just 100 steps. (If you turn to the right from the hotel, you will see the cathedral and the lake in front.) There are many restaurants and massage businesses nearby, and above all, it is safe.
2) Very clean accommodation - It was a twin room, and I heard there were no windows, but the small window let in natural light, so it was very comfortable without feeling stuffy. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding felt nice. I felt that it was well maintained, including the bathroom. And compared to the typical Vietnamese building style (tube house shape), the size of the accommodation is large. It seems more comfortable due to the ample space.
3) Heartfelt hospitality for guests - this is the most satisfying part. From the manager to the staff to the cleaners, they are always friendly and willing to help guests. In particular, the attitude and hospitality shown by the desk staff while waiting for about 30 minutes after check-out to go to the airport after my trip to Halong Bay will remain in my memory for a long time. Oh, it is very welcome that you can shower after checking out and before going to the airport (use the gym shower room on the 11th floor). And I think the gift that made me love Vietnamese coffee was truly a great gesture.
4) Rooftop swimming pool - There is a rooftop swimming pool, which is rare in Hanoi. Still, it's surprising and amazing that they maintain very competitive prices.
This time, I visited alone due to my schedule, but I will definitely come back next time I visit Hanoi with my family or when I have other plans.

From the moment you enter the entrance, you can smell the good smell of jasmine and overall it is very beautiful. The response from the staff was also great. There is a swimming pool on the roof and a bar overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake and downtown Hanoi, which is a good atmosphere. Bath towels are also available. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable anyway! Breakfast is delicious and there is nothing wrong with it. After Check-out, we left our luggage and went sightseeing, and they lent us a shower room on the 11th floor. The car to and from the airport also came on time for VND 400,000 and even gave us souvenirs (aluminum Vietnamese coffee filter and coffee), which was really well serviced and a great hotel!

A remarkable hotel. Perfectly located. We had a Saphir room, overlooking the old quarter, on the 7th floor. The air conditioning is efficient and perfectly silent, the double glazing isolates outside noise. The staff is cordial and efficient. The breakfast buffet is very rich. The only downside was that we were half-board for 3 days, and only 2 Vietnamese menus were available for dinner. We insisted with the restaurant staff to have a different menu from the 2 previous ones for our 3rd dinner. Our request was brilliantly fulfilled, but it would be better in the future to provide more menu options.

Our family visited Hanoi as part of a multicity tour of Vietnam in June 2024. We initially booked an Airbnb but realized it didn’t meet our needs when we arrived. The Oriental Jade was very welcoming in helping us book 4 rooms for our family, in particular Autumn at reception. The bellmen even brought our luggage through a busy street from the Airbnb to the hotel.
The staff is very welcoming, professional and prompt. The included breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day in Hanoi, with a mix of western and Vietnamese food. The other amenities such as the gym and rooftop bar and pool were great to have on site. The laundry service at 100,000 vd per kg was very convenient and fast, with a few hours turnaround.
Also, thank you to the manager Brian who was very gracious at checkout. We are very pleased with our stay at the Oriental Jade Hanoi and would stay again on a future trip to Vietnam.
