This place was in a great location with THE most helpful staff and within a nice affordable price range. Lovely roof top bar which was awesome during the sunset into the evening. We loved it, only gripe is its in the party part of town so loud music nearby all hours of the night but we used ear plugs when sleeping and still loved the place
I haven't given this hotel full stars because I had a room with no windows, otherwise it would have been top marks, but for the money £22 per night, it was a very good find. The room as very adequate, a small safe in the cupboard and once bathroom. The only downside was that there wasn't any windows. I was only there for a couple of nights and it was booked by a friend. I would have chosen a room with a window. The staff were very good. They booked sleeper train tickets at a much lower price than the internet, printed the tickets and made sure were knew where to go, and booked a cab for the trip to the station. I would definitely recommend as long as you make sure the room has windows. If yo don't mind this then go ahead anyway and book. Breakfast was great too and well worth the money, and two minuted from the lake and bars, banks, city bus etc. Walking street is also two minutes walk at best, with many bars staying open late.…
Nice location. Can go around in Old Quarter nearby the hotel. Receptionists are helpful. Overall service is excellent. Would like to suggest to extend breakfast dinning area bevause it's too crowded if you are late.
This is a fine little hotel, perfectly located in the Old Quarter, close to Hoan Kiem — the Lake where the traffic is banned at weekends, so that the surrounding area becomes a welcome pedestrian precinct. The hotel staff are amazingly helpful and resourceful. Best to go for their de luxe rooms, because the standard room may be a little poky, even windowless, but that is true all over Hanoi.
I was staying in Lefoyer Hotel with my family for 3 nights in the beginning of March and it was perfect ending of our journey all around Vietnam. The staff is very polite and helpful with whatever queries we have asked for - city tour, pick up from/to airport, extra towels for kids etc. I would like to emphasize its perfect location. Central lake is near of walk distance – great place to find some quiet and green place at the daytime. Obviously, for shopaholics there are market and variety of the shops. I personally recommend the shop called Viet Aroma, which is just beside the hotel and does offer locally made tea, coffee, cocoa and dry fruits, here we got multiple items as gifts and souvenirs for relatives and friends. Do not miss a chance to visit Hanoi and have a nice stay in Lefoyer hotel.…
Stayed here for 3 days, really enjoyed the experience. Centrally located and close to the market! They have a really nice roadside bar nearby, good place to unwind with a few beers. Also close to some really cool shops. Would recommend trying Viet Aroma, had a great coffee selection (my only problem is how to get more now that I'm back in Singapore :P )
Stayed here for a couple of days at the end January. Location is really good, loved this old quarter. From here is easy to reach sightseeing places. Staff was very nice and helpful. Double bed room was cosy and clean with everything you need while traveling. Worth of money we paid. Lots of shops and hustle outside, but thats OK. In one of them called Viet Aroma, managed to shop for local goods and souvenirs for relatives before going home.
It was a nice stay at the hotel, the staff was helpful, and the location is perfect. It is in a quiet area but still close to everything. Everything was clean and we had a few nights of great time. You can find lots of shops around, my favorite Viet Aroma where we found delicious local coffee, tea and dry fruits. Worth a visit!
Great location, just back from the lake which is 5 mins walk to the south. Hotel is just at the southern end of the old quarter. Despite all the hustle outside the room was very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was varied, local food, fruit, meats and a wide choice. Local shops all around the hotel selling water and anything else you could need. I was able to leave my main bags at the hotel too while I did an overnight trip to Halong Bay collecting them on my return which was a bonus. My room was a double which overlooked the back of the housing behind the hotel, overall I was very pleased I’d chosen to stay there and would recommend it to other travellers.
I had ants in my room and when I complained enough they moved me to another room. The other also had ants, but less than the previous one. It wasn't a ridiculous amount but enough to make me uncomfortable. Also, the staff were not all that warm. For the same price as this hotel, you can find a better one.
