My husband and I stayed here for two weeks in November 2016, our first trip to Viet Nam, visiting family. Our room was 609, rear of the building no noise whatsoever. The Room itself was very large, with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful and always cheerful and smiling. Breakfast was very good and filling, they... More

This hotel was not my 1st choice of hotel in old quarter. We spend 2nd, 4th and 5 th nights here. The staff was as nice as can be, printed our new plane booking, checked in for us, and gave us $30 off on upgrade to the highest floor room 9th with a balcony, the only down side it's elevator... Stayed here for two nights before going to Halong Bay and was very happy with our accommodation. Booked for another 3 nights after Halong trip but unfortunately our rooms are not as good. Rubbish on bathroom floor and in the main room when we checked in. The sugar sachets in our room had been opened and half used and not... More

What a lovely hotel! Small enough to be personal but not too intrusive. The staff are friendly and will help you as much as they can. The restaurant girls were very helpful, explaining what different foods were as much they could. The hotel is within walking distance of shops, restaurants and hoan kiem lake. We had room 907 which was... More

Great location, near old city. Yet, hotel is on a quiet street. However, what makes this place unique is the staff. Friendly, most helpful in helping secure reservations, calling taxis, etc. Very clean rooms. Loved having fresh towels after doing much walking everyday. Breakfast is very good, we loved the yogurt and fresh passion fruit available most days. Enjoyed being... More

Excellent location. Rooms are in the centre of the building so they are quiet and cool. Great when you want to get some time out from the busy Hanoi streets. Very clean and spacious rooms. Definitely book in advance if you wish to stay here. I was hoping to return in a week for a few nights but they were... More

We stayed at the hotel only for 1 night, booked 2 Premium City View rooms based on the photos provided on the booking side. The rooms are good size but the "city view" is not really a city view but a window looking out on the walls or roofs of other buildings, no view at all, just a window. Very... More

We stayed one night here before our Halong Bay cruise and went to a different hotel upon our return - due to availability. Golden Rice far outshone the other hotel. Here at Golden Rice, we thought our room was lovely - in fact we were upgraded when we checked in. The location was fantastic and the staff so very lovely.... More
