Located in the old quarter, with a friendly, helpful staff. From the welcome drink to directions in how to make your way about Hanoi (i.e. tips on crossing steets and which taxis to take) the staff at the Calypso really go out of their way. The breakfast is copious and varied and will keep you going until dinner, all the...

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in January. The hotel is situated down a small street, our car transfer dropped us off at the top of the street (as he was unable to drive down) and we walked down to the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and provided us with a welcome drink and a map...

A nice clean hotel in a good location with many good food and drink choices close by. The rooms are comfortable and spacious but the staff and service are what makes it all worth staying. The manager Linda went out of her way on several occasions to make sure my stay was comfortable and was very helpful recommending places to...

We stayed in Calypso for only one night while travelling to Hoi An during Chinese New Year celebrations. It was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is located in the old town of Hanoi. The location is perfect for getting around and see how life goes on in Vietnam's capital. Just a few streets away from the pedestrian area and lots...

This hotel is in old city but a bit off the beaten path. Room was spacious and clean. However, the shower wasn't great and the sink drain didn't work. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast mediocre. If staying at a Calypso, try one of the more central ones.

Nice clean hotel in a good location in the old quarter of Hanoi, Room was spotless and a good size though the double bed was two singles pushed together. Staff are very friendly and welcome you with a cold drink on arrival. They are available for help and advice and are very accomodating. Breakfast is good and served from an...

I have recently stayed at the Calypso Grand Hotel and it was the most pleasurable stay. Beginning with the welcome and the smooth check-in process and through everyday interaction with the staff, ending with the check-out and transfer to the airport, everything was simply amazing. I would recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Hanoi.

From the moment we arrived at the Calypso Grand Hotel, our experience was a positive one. Linda and her staff greeted us with cold wet cloths and refreshing mango juice. We were also given a map and shown the location of all of the places of interest in relation to the hotel. The hotel is located on the edge of...

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Hanoi and everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean and much larger than I expected. The staff was very friendly and more than willing to help. We couldn't have been more happy with our time here. Would definitely recommend.
