By far the cheapest, single, private room I found in Hanoi. For the price, this place is great: comfy bed, hot shower, and just far enough away from the madness of beer street to get a good night's sleep. Would definitely recommend to bargain hunters.

We were in this room for 5 hours resting and we were attacked by bed bugs, when we tell the guy we cannot stay here cause your place was infested, he started laughing and charged us half price for the room even though we didn't stay here for the night. Our bodies were full of bites, and we actually killed...

The ensuite room was basic but clean. The bed was actually quite large, which we liked. Internet was good, breakfast is Vietnamese bread with different choices like jam, sausage or egg and coffee, tea or lemon juice. The owner is friendly and willing to help with everything. They can organize tours and tickets too.

I spent 5 months travelling Asia and this was by far the worst experience. My friend and I needed to book a private room each for 1 month and we were delighted when management said that they had availability and even promised us a small reduction for staying for this extended period. 2 men working at reception confirmed this. After...

If your looking for a quick stop over this place is ok. It's cheap, very central. We had air con what works fine and the room was fairly big. However the bed covers had old mould stains on them, and the place needs a very good revamp it is falling to bits but in general they clean the rooms. If...

This was definitely the worst hostel experience I have ever had in my life. Booked a private room way in advance because I had a late flight and would be arriving in Hanoi in the early hours of the morning. They claim a 24 hour front desk but when I arrived I had to bang on the door for about...

This was by far the most horrible experience we had on our entire two month trip to Vietnam. I hope that this review may keep everyone that read it away, and thereby put Hoan Kiem Hostel out of business. They are NOT capable of running a hostel - this much is certain. Our horrid experience started with us calling from...

DO NOT BOOK HERE! Prices may be cheap but not worth it! Book else where for low prices. Rooms are filthy! Bathroom toilet seat broke off immediately. Super moldy. Smells terrible inside rooms. Old , used towels were left in room. Very noisy neighborhood. Owners pretend to give you low prices and haggle for you but they ripped us off....

We stayed 2 nights with my mum and my uncle in this hostel, it is really well situated in the heart of the old quarter and it is cheap. But the room was quiet dirty and the bathroom unpractical with a broken sink leaking constantly and no hot water. Apart this, the personnel is nice and helpful but facilities really...
