The staff tried hard but just didn't have the knowledge to bring things to fruition. Breakfast was so so. My first room the air con was broken. They did move me. Housekeeping didn't do well at all. They also never came on Sunday. They couldn't get me a cyclo. Just all seemed out of their capabilities even though with a...

I and my colleagues just spent our business time in Ha Noi. We was really enjoy this hotel. They are not quite old. Good location. And specially for staffs. In our first impression, Mr Khoi- bell man was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and definitely we will come back in next trip!

Let's first look at the good things during our stay: The staff was outstandingly friendly and helpful, the booked transfer from and to the airport was working out without any problems and the location of the hotel is quite good (right on the edge of the Old Quarter with many restaurants, bars and sights nearby). Minibar prices are quite cheap,...

We stayed here one night and feeling good with the hotel's staff and the room. Our room had upgraded to better one without any charges and we were happy for that. We would love to be back here if we come back hanoi.

Definitely get a room with an INTERNAL balcony, not one of the ones that looks out onto the street. That way the noise won't be too awful and intrusive. The hotel is fantastic for location, staff and organising tours. Bring your own towel if you want something plush!

Booked to stay in the Hanoi City Palace Hotel and I must say that the staff were very helpful and friendly. I felt the rooms were not brilliant, in fact after the first night I had to upgrade my room to something a little nicer - The hand towels are the size of flannels and the bath towels are the...

The hotel is quite conveniently located about 750m from Lake. The staff is very helpful but we had a problem with the bathroom. The bath tub leaked and the toilet had mould stains. There is a Banh Mi(baguette) shop opposite where you can have breakfast as well.

I am little late to write this review as it was also a year ago that I stayed here but as I'm planning another trip to SE Asia I realize how important these reviews are! My two friends and I stayed in a deluxe room in Hanoi City Palace and it was fantastic! It was very affordable and offered free...

The location of the hotel is fantastic, and that's about as far as i'd go with the positive aspects. The hotel badly needs updating in its appearance, it feels very old and run down inside the rooms. The bathroom was very worn, and not cleaned very thoroughly - there was still litter in the bathroom from the previous occupants left...
