Very happy with the hotel. Location is superb, being right in town and across the road from the Opera House. I do have to disagree with some reviews noting the unhappy front desk team as I had very polite and helpful receptionist. The entrance to the hotel leads to jewelry shops on both sides selling precious and semi precious stones.... More

The location was good, the room clean and modern but the experience was sadly marred by the service from the reception team. If you're looking for that friendly, happy, Vietnamese welcome every time you approach the reception area, you're going to be extremely disappointed. Arrogance and unhelpful are the two terms I'd use to describe the Catina staff.

We were very happy with our stay at the Cantina. The room was large, comfortable and immaculate. The Staff were very pleasant and helpful and we had a nice meal in the restaurant. We also accessed the wifi without an issue.

We had an excellent stay at the Catina Hotel. The staff were very friendly and very helpful, we got upgraded to a suite that had plenty of room with a very large bathroom but we also saw the rooms with window's which were lovely. Went to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) on a weekend trip and found Catina Saigon Hotel to be an excellent choice with really good value for money. I stayed here for one day as part of a transit package with Vietnam Airlines through T and T tourist company. This is a nice little hotel and was a great place to spend our 14 hour stopover. The location is killer and the rooms were really clean, however, the overall experience of the stay is terrible. Each floor has a little lobby/hangout area, so groups of people are socializing and smoking right outside your door. It's so bad that you can smell the smoke in your room. If it's not hotel policy to allow smoking in public... More
