This place reeks of colonial influence. Both the good and the bad. Service is polite but impersonal. Place got character but lacks utility at times. There is a pervasive old building odour, in case you like it And they charge for laundry bag..... Personally I might not stay here again....

A remnant of the French colonial past this elegant hotel has large comfortable bedrooms in the Central District. The breakfasts were excellent but some rooms face a local hotel which enjoys loud music on the rooftop on a Saturday night. A local jazz band on the Sunday morning at 6.30 am did not help. A hotel with a lot of...

Location: located just beside the Opera House. The Hotel Continental enjoys a central location where everything is within walking distance. Check In: Check In Staff needs to Smile more. We were very early, it was 9am and we were given 2 options 1. Wait till Check In time or 2. Pay 20USD to get inside the Room. Room: the Room...

Unbelievably noisy. Our room faces the courtyard which is very pretty but offers no defence against the noise from the various wedding receptions held over the past few nights in the hotel courtyard. Even with the television volume at 100% we are unable to hear over the noise and whilst writing this 'live' have been informed that the reception finishes...

Stayed here for one night at the end of a Mekong River tour as part of the tour. Rooms are huge although a bit dated. I had a room which faced the courtyard and heard absolutely no noise all night. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great. See my other reviews for Ho Chi Min City.

I chose this hotel because I'm a Graham Greene fan, and I stayed in room 217, right around the corner from Greene's room. It was a lovely room, huge and elegant. Room service was quick and pretty tasty, though a little pricey. The towel rack in my room did not want to stay attached to the wall. The spa was...

The Hotel Continental Saigon thank you very much for your comments. It is great to know that you are fan of The famous writer Graham Greene. Historic hotel in very good location. Rooms can be very noisy and unfortunately staff not smiling at all. Very disappointing for a 5 star hotel! Specially for Vietnam .Would not go back or recommend !

I wish I head read the reviews before staying here. The noise is unacceptable. It is an historic building, roomas are a large and clean. Breakfast is only mediocre. While we there a wedding was booked in the central courtyard and the rooms are not soundproof. The noise prevented rest or sleep. I would not stay in this hotel again....

We stayed with friends at the Historic Hotel Continental for a four night stay prior to flying home from our Far Eastern adventure. We chose this hotel because of its historical past, built in 1880 it still has all the feel of its french colonial past. Our room was large and well maintained, a little old fashioned in decor but...

Great location and spacious room but this is the noisiest hotel I have been to. It faces on of the busiest streets in Saigon with traffic all night as well as a bar right next to the Opera house with loud (and I mean LOUD) music all night. Seriously, unser no circumstances would I recommend staying here to anyone.
