Girls trip every 2 years and this trip was Vietnam. None of us had been before so we took a chance on The Rex after reading good reviews. We loved the Rex Hotel. It was in a great location and easy walking distance to all shopping districts including Ben Than Market, the river, restaurants and more. We had 2 rooms...

Decided to take a quick trip to Vietnam, stayed at the Rex Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. The hotel is not that new (there are newer hotel such as Le Meridien, Nikko, etc.) but the quality is decidedly 5 star. The benefit of this hotel is being in District 1, and in the center of the business center of the...

Food nothing special at all. Service very slow. Great view but everything is super over-priced. Worth a visit only historically. When the music starts it is way too loud like everything in Vietnam. We ate pho but it was average at best and took a long time...get the sane product for 25% of price just a few steps away. Photo...

This hotel seemed to comprise of the several building connecting by stairs, connectors and therefore took more walking point to point. Stayed two nights in the premium room which was great, spacious and good sleeping quality although it was right next to the major traffic. Included breakfast were great in both quality, quantity and service. Although the property was complexed...

Beautiful hotel and well located with an amazing history. Lobby reeked of cigarette smoke, and our rooms had a musty smell, perhaps the air conditioners were due for a cleanse. At other hotels throughout Vietnam we had been welcomed with a cool drink and cold towel for refreshment, for a 5 star hotel and the most expensive we expected more,...

Visited the Rex hotel for a couple of drinks....it has great views from the roof top bar but expensive drinks and not very good entertainment. Its usually busy but its best to buy your drinks at the bar instead of getting a waiter to get them for you as they are more expensive.

This classic hotel is comfy, tastefully decorated with beautiful finishes and classic style. Immaculate rooms and nice public areas. A nice touch of Vietnamese style. On a hot day the two rooftop pools are a nice reprieve. I personally enjoy the well equipped gym. The staff three is really nice. Hung deserves a special mention. Adding to the pleasure of...

Excellent hotel. Superb rooms. Amazing choice at breakfast. Very helpful and attentive staff. Beds were amazing! Excellent location for main sites and good availability of taxi's outside hotel. Arranged for collection from airport which was much appreciated.

Excellent location, many good restaurants and shopping within walking distance even in this climate. Decent and clean room, nice bathrooms. Nice pool area, great with children. Staff friendly but spoke very bad English (reception could not clearly comminicate check-out times...) and food and drinks VERY expensive - however that's not an issue in a food city like Ho Chi Minh!

Me and my girlfriend visited here for afew drinks and it was brilliant, we had walked past it while out and about, really liked the look of it. The staff were really friendly and even got us a table right on the edge so we could enjoy the view. Whether you go for a meal or just a drink it...
