We really liked this small hotel. The rooms are large enough and very clean. The staff is extremely friendly and very attentive.
The breakfast buffet was very varied, from hot Vietnamese food to freshly prepared omelettes to fresh fruit is everything to be found.
We felt very comfortable here and can highly recommend the hotel in a very central location in the city center!!!

I & my family spent few days in this hotel last year. It is a good hotel with lovely staff as well as the hotel service provided. They have a resraurant on top floor. It is really nice view if you have a table near the window😀. More over, this hotel is located on interesting and crowding streets Dong Du D1, from here you can walk to Walking Street, Ho Chi Minh City Hall, and Be Thanh Market. The room price is different because it depends on low or high season...
Highly recomend it if you have a short trip in Sai gon for bussiness or sightseeing.

The Hotel Saigon is very centrally located in Saigon and has a very balanced value for money and I can only recommend it.
But I would like to highlight Mrs. Joli at the hotel reception. I have never met such a lovely lady at the reception, who has been at my side with all my questions to the maximum, and on top of that booked a flight to Da Nang in no time. So I can only highly recommend the hotel because of her alone and award all stars *****

I stayed 2 nights at Hotel Saigon. The room was big and nice. With a bathtub. The staff are friendly and speak English as well. On the top floor there is the breakfast buffet. With European and Asian dishes. Also bread and croissants. At the reception there is also a small restaurant where you can eat well and at good prices.

The location is near the Opera House and across from the Sheraton, so it's easy to get around.
There are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby.
The rooms are a little old-fashioned, but the facilities are adequate.
(Western-style, but no washlet)
The breakfast has a wide variety of options, so you end up eating too much (lol).
There are mini gatherings for young people on the sidewalk in front of the hotel in the middle of the night, so it might be best to avoid the lower floors.

The staff stands out, with their genuine attention, wonderful customer service and recommendations, especially Joli. The location is great; right in central district 1, with easy access to food, amenities and retail, without being in the thick of noise and action by roaring motorcycles. Thank you staff of Saigon Hotel!

I had an excellent experience with outstanding service during my stay of over a week. Ms. Jolie, Mr. Alex, and Ms. Irene were incredibly supportive and helpful, ensuring everything was seamless and comfortable. What made it even more special was the convenience of having the masjid located just opposite, adding to the overall ease and comfort of my stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a wonderful and fulfilling experience!

If the taxi driver doesn't know where it is, just go to the Sheraton and it's diagonally in front of you.
The building is old but well cleaned. I've stayed here twice this year and had no problems. The shower pressure was weak in some rooms but bearable.
The breakfast area is spacious enough and there is a wide variety of food. There is also an egg station, which is more than enough for breakfast. The hall staff are polite and quick to respond, which is a good thing. As it is a small hotel, there is nowhere to stay during the times when group guests are moving around, and you have to wait a long time to check in and out. This is because group guests with no business gather in front of the counter, so I would like the staff to guide them away.
As the hotel is located in the center, it is very convenient.

Central location, clean and comfortable. Staff had good English and would make an effort to help you. We had a room on the 5th. floor which is right next to 2 elevators, easy to come and go. Included breakfast is a mix of Vietnamese and western, with fresh fruit, eggs, toast, dumplings, noodles et al. Good choice of restaurants, bars and cafes nearby. Saigon is pretty modern city but with the hustle and bustle of the old world never far away. Very interesting city to get around on a cycle rickshaw. You'll need a mask when in the traffic as you're close to the action. You have to trust your rider, they know how to negotiate the chaotic traffic.

I recently stayed at this hotel & thoroughly enjoyed my month’s stay. The hotel is situated in a busy area full of great restaurants pubs & lots of entertainment. The hotel has good options to eat & the room was fresh & spacious, but what made my stay more enjoyable was the incredible staff. The girls on main reception were so kind & helpful to me when my phone wouldn’t work the girls let me use there phones to call my family at home, it’s the sincere kindness that I was so grateful for. The Vietnamese people are extremely kind & warm hearted & im most grateful.
A special mention to Melanie Tran (My).. This lady deserves a payrise for her professional & great hospitality to her guests.
Thank you to Team Saigon Hotel for a wonderful stay.

HI Sweetliya
Im not sure this hotel has interconnecting rooms. Only a deluxe or higher room category will fit more than 2 people. And im afraid i dont know about being able to see the Mosque from your room. (i stayed in a standard room; looked into side street off Dong Khoi Street). i would suggest emailing the hotel directly - that way you will have in writing what they can provide for you. Good luck and i hope you love Viet Nam as much as i do.
Tania
no pool, if you want a pool you need to stay at the Sheraton or Carravelle - but that will be 3 times the cost of Saigon.
i have not done much train travel in Vietnam but i am sure you can purchase tickets - the hotels should be able to help you.
Maybe check how long the trip is as well.
