Good location. Excellent breakfast, but less choice on fruit. We wanted to have dinner on the roof top restaurant but was occupied by a noisy birthday party who made lots of noise and cheers. Could not stay. Staff was not friendly to accomodate our party. The restaurant closes at 10 pm, not good for a hotel that accommodates tourists. Rooms are clean and cleaned daily. Noise from the street may disturb some but was ok.
The hotel is very spacious, clean and well maintained. The staff speaks fluent English and was able to attend all our requests in minimum time. The best part is location of hotel is at a walking distance from important landmarks like opera house, independence palace, cathedral and war museum. The staff is polite and very efficient.
In the heart of D1 adn close to all that you need, the newly renovated Saigon hotel was a very nice surprise when I stayed this week. Staff were courteous, the rooms spacious and clean with excellent aircon. I was only hear for a night but this is value for money
We stayed almost a week in February 2019 - I have delayed posting this review to allow for months of subsequent disputes firstly with a major online booking website and then with a credit card chargeback process. This is the only hotel I have encountered in 30 years of travelling that has been so calculatingly keen to fleece its guests. Here's how it goes. We prepaid for two rooms at this hotel online and arrived late at night to find ourselves engaged in an argument that started with "you only booked one room, not two". Any slightest discrepancy in your online booking and you are targeted. That morphed into "well, we only expected two people and there are three of you". Out came a nonsensically priced "rates card" and the extra demanded is around $200. There's no way out - cancellation means losing the entire prepaid sum - so we paid. Magically then - although they claimed originally we booked only one room - two adjoining rooms, a single and a double - were available, confirming they knew precisely all along about the number of guests. Credit card chargeback fails later because you signed the payment slip. The whole time the hotel employee was grinning ear to ear at our dilemma. So we paid up, made the best of our stay, and will never again go near this hotel or the associated booking company. What a short sighted approach to your customers. My tip - don't even dream of prepaying for this place - your reservation is far from secure at your agreed price. There are a few other hotels quite nearby at similar rates - worth shopping around for better options. The hotel itself is actually nice enough - the lobby and restaurant staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel is well located in Dong Du Street which is handy if your interests lie in the Dong Khoi / downtown District 1 area. The on site restaurant serves a reasonable breakfast but a very bland menu of evening meals. Don't bother eating there. The rooms are OK and appear well maintained - aircon, beds and so on - but this place is maybe 2.5 stars and overpriced for what you get. If you don't pay extra for a balcony room expect a view of a wall or no view at all. Taxis outside tend to be trustworthy and you can walk to pretty much anywhere in the District.…
Very good, service was great and good breakfast. Central location with supermarket, Opera House, cafes, restaurants and a shopping centre within walking distance. Tours pickup from Hotel or Opera House so very convenient.
The location of the hotel is excellent - close to the cathedral and the Opera, as well as to the lovely Saigon River. The breakfast was less satisfactory to people who don't or cannot eat red meat, as there were few dishes catering to us (for example, all the other hotels I stayed at in Viet Nam served chicken pho at the very least some of the time). Otherwise the staff couldn't be nicer and everything was clean and wellkept.
We stayed in the senior deluxe room at floor six. Quite big room , comfortable bed and clean. The AC was good as well. Our room had a window, so it could be a little noice from outside but not that much. If you are super sensitive you should choose a room without a window. Breakfast was ok. The location was really good, I dont think you want to live directly nearby the big walking street due to a lot of people and sound from bars. But still the hotel was within walking distance to everything. We recommend it!
Hotel staff stole significant cash from my bag when it was in luggage storage for 30 minutes. Their response to my complaint was slow and unprofessional and they have denied wrongdoing, when the only time I was separated from my bag was when it was given to hotel staff. Stay here only if you are willing for staff to steal from you. I HATE THIS HOTEL.
Nice location with money's worth. Fantastic hotel employees. Very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. The front desk is especially helpful. Goes the distance to ensure assistance is given when needed.
A excellent location right in busy business district, close by our office and clients. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance. Pleasant checking in at front desk, clean relatively good size room, and comfy firm bed. The breakfast a mix of Western and Asian is rather limited.
