I just left Madam Cuc's Hotel 127 two days ago, and I'd give this family run motel a 4/5. Rooms were basic but spotlessly clean, with working TV, A/C (you'll need that!) and a fan. Room is cleaned daily so you can be sure of clean towels. Location is very close to Pham Ngu Lao area and Bui Vien, a...

I've stayed at Hotel 127 for five nights last August and liked it very much. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. They arranged for us airport transfers, a Mekong tour, called taxis, drew maps, provided tips and offered internet connection. Breakfast and dinner were included, quite basic but always nice. Drinks were free all day, including fresh lemon...

A day before our arrival, we headed over to the hotel to confirm our reservation and make sure things were in order. (we were staying somewhere 10 times the price for the previous 2 nights). We were greeted with very friendly staff who...

Even when we had altercations with 2 angry Cyclo drivers in the hotel foyer they were very understanding and helped to pacify the drivers.as we went up to the...

We stayed here in October after 2 weeks in Vietnam. As you might expect, hotels in HCMC seem to be more expensive than the rest of the country, so we decided to book somewhere cheap and basic, and save our money to splash out on some luxury elsewhere. We booked directly via email, and didn’t know until we arrived which...

This guesthouse is in every guidebook like lonely planet, guide the routard etc. We read the comments and thouhgt this was the spot for us. Well... it seems that madame Cuc is overrated (& overpriced). Rooms are oke. Nice hard shower (a lot of water is coming down). But... we thought that our pillows were used before by a sweatty...
