We were forced to stay in Hue since no bused left to HoiAn in the evening. After a while we went to the Halo Guest House which is loated in the backpackers alley and found a great double room for just 10 Dollar. We even had the possibility to check the rooms beforehand. The receptionist was very nice and helpful...

Arrived at this hotel and were happy enough with the size of the room. Happy to see a bath in the bathroom. However we left the next morning. The air con was very loud. The bed was rock hard. The pillows were tiny. Amenities in the hotel were not working and the hotel in the morning is very noisy. The...

We have been travelling for five months and this was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in. The woman running it was super friendly. At first we thought she was pushy on the tours but after we when site-seeing our way we thought she may have been right in her recommendations. Rooms were large and ALWAYS clean....

Stayed here for one night on the way to Hanoi. The rooms are very big and clean. We payed 10USD for a double bed room and ensuite bathroom. Had air-con, tv (with two channels), bath and good shower. There was also a nice balcony overlooking the city streets where we had a picnic dinner. Lumpy beds, but I slept okay,...

Not sure why this place is listed in the LP as this was nothing great. I looked at 3 rooms - $8, $10 and $15 rooms - and it was not a tricky decision to get the most expensive room. This was not because the room was that great but more because the others were pretty poor. Relatively the $15...

stayed here for one night because of the very good review on travelfish. The hotel is indeed really cheap (we paid just 10 usd), so you should not expect that you get a lot in return. However, we were a bit dissapointed as the room (certainly the bathroom) was dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned for quite...

We were looking at other hotels as recommended by the guide book, but a very persistent man convinced us to have a look at Halo , after seeing the room we got a much nicer place for money than elsewhere on this alley .We were pleased with how quickly the A/C cooled down the room (much better than other places...

We booked this on the basis that it was mentioned in the guide books and ranked very highly on tripadvisor. On arrival they were supposed to collect us off the bus - but when they didnt' show we walked - it was only two blocks away. Seems we arrived earlier than expected so we let it go, no biggie. She...

We are a family of four with two teenagers travelling around Vietnam. Halo was great because we could afford two rooms and both were spacious enough. We (as parents) lashed out on the $US15 room and were pleasantly surprised by the large balconey. The day we planned to go sightseeing the weather was iffy and the hotel owner arranged four...
