Hotel rooms are badly equipped, everything is falling apart, and the service staff is trying to cheat you. Better go to an honest place.

A basic hotel in the middle of the tourist area, good proximity to restaurants, all tourist services and the beach. The staff are there to help if you need them and can arrange bkes and point you in the right direction for tours etc. Its a basic offering so no restaurant etc but it's almost half the price of the...

The Dong Phuong is OK. We've certainly stayed at much nicer hotels in Nha Trang for the same price. It was alright though. We go to Vietnam often to visit family and usually do a week in Nha Trang and one in Mui Ne. The staff was super friendly to us, but my family is Vietnamese and they love Vietnamese...

we stayed at Dong Phuong 2 for 2 nights. I was not comfortable staying here as I was new to travelling and staying in hotels, but in hindsight, the place is better than other 1-2 star hotels. room we had was spacious, with 2 nice double beds. bathroom quite dirty. no shower curtain so water went everywhere, flooded the floors...

I wandered to different hotels looking at the rooms and asking prices and this was by far the best value. The rooms are large, bathroom with bathtub, tv and fridge. It was clean with 2 comfortable queen beds. Some of the hotels charging $25 per night were as good as this so it is a bonus when you can get...

First of all: the photo depicted on this page is from the Louisiane bar and brewery, not from the hotel. The hotel (the original one and the '2' about a km away is family owned. The staff has been with the family for years, and is quite rude, that is true. The family, however, is a nice one, they just...

Room was not clean. Door handle was falling off. No useable hotel safe (beach town - this was an issue because we couldn't put SLR camera's or a netbook in the safe and had to take them to the beach :() Little spiders in room. Could not sleep in the bed - too dirty. The owner/manager owns this place to...

Me and my partner Graham came to Nha Trang, Vietnam to live, and to start with we had to find a cheap hotel. We were recommended Dong Phuong 1 as it was a bargain. If you are a traveller or are travellers, i would say to stay here. Its only $6 a night which is so cheap its unreal, you...

Travellers beware: This is one of the oldest tricks in the book for Vietnamese hotel chains and DONG PHUONG hotel definitely practice it. The receptionist will take a booking for their flagship hotel, and when the guest arrives tell them that there has been a mix up and "help them" by finding a room in their other hotel which is...

This hotel was ok but what I remember most was how rude the staff where. They were so unhelpful to us and really made us feel unwelcome. Apart from that the accomodation itself was nice and the location was not too bad. It was a few minutes walk to the beach but there are heaps of cafe's, bars and shops...
