Always staying at a different hotel in Baku, this time choice was good, not far from sea, and city center, easy to find by taxi drivers. Reception is friendly, room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was fine. Quite ok for a ~40$ hotel.

We were supposed to say 2 nights in this hotel, hoping that it did have at least 3 star comfort, but hardly. I ran away after the first night. The walls are too thin, you can hear almost everything going on in the neighboring rooms, bathrooms are not clean, carpet is unpleasantly stainy, breakfast is kind of poor, although the...

I don't recommend Amber hotel (Baku) beause they don't register tourists with the official authority. By their fault, we must pay a penalty of 300 manats (about 300 euros) to leave Azerbaijan at the airport. Moreover, they never reply to our emails. The worst communication I have had in all my trips abroad.
