I made a booking in this hotel and arguably this is the best hotel to stay on.The front office staff are super friendly and the restaurant food is too good.The breakfast buffet was just what I wanted .Compared to website,the hotel rooms are much better in the eye.Highly recommended.

Hotel Shukhtaka accepted my non-refundable booking from Hotels.com yesterday, and today I found out they were closed. Why did they accept the booking money if they could not accommodate us. I was very offended by this behaviour, I expect a full refund.

The Hotel Shuktara markets itself as a luxury business budget hotel, which is a very apt description. While applying for my visa on arrival, the officials insisted on keeping my printed hotel reservation, so make sure to print it twice! Even without the hardcopy, I had no problem checking in, and was warmly received. My room was modern & looked nice, with funky blue lights. It featured a sitting area, a minibar and sufficient closet space. The bathroom was small, but functional. The biggest drawback was the WiFi, which didn't work most of the time. Even when it did work, it was excruciatingly slow and basically unusable. I quickly resorted to buying a local SIM card. Even without WiFi, the Hotel Skuktara offers great value for money.

Pros: Very nice staff and good restaurant on the roof. Room was also comfortable and cleaned well. Decent location if you walk a lot, close to Bashundhara mall and with mini supermarket just 100 meters away. Cons: I was fine with it, but for people who do not sleep well, noise from street can be disturbing. However, its Dhaka, you will hardly find a calm place there.

It was two-night stay. The room was clear and good accommodation. All staff are very professional with good service. They greets all guests with smiles. They gave me a good impression, especially Mr Abdullah Al Adib, who is young, handsome, professional，considerate， trustworthy and on-time. The food was also good and taste, and there are many categories, Thai food, Chinese food, Western food etc, you can get whatever you wan to eat. Thanks everyone in hotel.

It was a one week trip in Dhaka with extended family. Very pleased with the service which was professional and prompt. Rooms were clean, fresh and great showers. Breakfast spread is lavish. The hotel is on Indira Road with a street market and several retail shops lining the pavement. It is lively and very near to several food outlets and stalls selling fruit and veg. Indira road is almost perpendicular to and joins to larger roads-Kazi Nazrul Islam road and Mirpur road on either side. Within 20 minutes of walking you can get to the Parliament House, Kawran Bazar, an Aarong outlet for shopping and several malls. A number of rickshaws and autos at hand if you wish. Airport is hardly half an hours drive away. Dhaka traffic jams can extend that time to anything, but with reasonable traffic you can cover the distance in less than half an hour (we did it in 25 minutes on the day back). Staff are friendly and attentive. Free wi-fi works very well and in all areas of the hotel. Was very pleased with our choice and would happily use Shuktara again.…
