Since the budget of our company is limited, I stay this time in SEL Nibash. It is cheap, and as a three stars hotel, we cannot expect much. There is hot water and air conditioner. So, if you just think how to sleep, this hotel is totally acceptable.
Neat, clean and great hotel to stay, very safe and at heart of the city, yummy food and courteous staffs, great amenities and hospitality, over all a hotel value for money. Service apartments are well maintained, next door to a hospital, well connected.
In the middle of Dhanmondi & Green Road this Hotel is one of the Budget Hotel in Dhaka City. For Business trips or few days visit u can stay this hotel. They have well decorated room with maximum of modern facilities
The hotel enjoys a very convenient location on Green Road Dhaka, in the center of all activities yet provides the required privacy to its guests. The rooms are of decent size and are comforting in all aspects. Comfortable bed, enough sitting space, spacious bathroom and good service level. I have visited Bangladesh on few occasion and continued to stay at Sel Nibash. Good staff interaction and good free breakfast. The manager Mr Mamun on the front desk is very cordial and helpful and followed through with all the staff and Badhon on the entrance gate was so helpful in guiding me through the maze of Dhaka
The room is decent and spacious for one person. Rooms are also clean and well kept. Services are not that great. I stayed on the 4th floor, and the reception was on the 3rd floor, and every time that I wanted my room cleaned I need to go and submit the key on the first floor, which doesn't make sense. The breakfast menu is very less and limited and on some days basic things like coffee was not available. Even for the room service some dishes were not available. Only stayed here because of the convenient location.
For visitors hote is a pit confusing, since the lobby is on the 3rd floor. People working there were frendly. Room was ok – it had everything I needed. I stayed at the 3rd floor and what was the best thing, my room had a free Wi-Fi, which worked pritty well. I had difficultieds to get hot water from the shower, only one time during my 12 days stay, but after all, it was fine. The hotel was located next to peaceful resitental area. Even the country / city had some political strikes and other issues, I did not see / hear those to my hotel. The hotel was walking distance from the New Market. One cultural festival is using this hotel during their event for their foreing guests.
I have been living in SEL Nibash on and off since 2008. This tells a lot. I feel like home in this hotel. Staffs are friendly and ready to help you anytime. It is at the busy street but you get really a value for money. I highly recommend this hotel. Rooms are clean, wifi is available, and break fast is included in the room charge. For those who are interested to prepare food by themselves, hotel suites also include kitchenettes.
The busy Sel Nibash Hotel occupies the top 6 floors of a building on Green Road in central Dhaka - a commercial and residential district which also contains many medical facilities. Location on a main street is a downside if you're concerned with noise. For a stay of any time, one of the small suites is a good option, the price for which has now been increased to approx. $49 per night. These include a bedroom with a twin or double bed, a small sitting room, a shower room and kitchenette which has varying facilities according to how much it has been maintained - a single- or double-burner natural-gas hob if you're lucky, a work-top and a sink. The management is said to supply an appropriate batterie de cuisine if you want to cook - there is a good supermarket 10 minutes walk to the south on the opposite site of the road where any necessary supplies can be bought. The food in the hotel dining room is adequate, although breakfast is limited - eggs, coffee, tea, toast and jam and some days dal and curried chicken bones (a Bangla favourite), with curried vegetables more occasionally. The restaurant is open all day, but mostly caters for hotel guests who want to eat in their rooms. The rooms are clean and the staff friendly and helpful, including the security guards at the ground-floor entrance. There is an increasing number of Islamic beards and shaved moustaches amongst the waiters and front-desk staff. There is WIFI which varies between adequate and non-functional and basement parking. There are meeting rooms on the top floor and the hotel is a popular venue for both residential workshops and one-day seminars.…
Only for the location,I stayed here several time from last 3 years. Sometimes regular after two or three month. But every time I had to through the typical process of check-in. every time they increased the tariff with new excuses and the reception guy took photo of me by a camera for security reason. It is ridiculous. I suggested them to keep a hidden camera for that job and use a software to keep the record of frequent guests. But no one like free suggestion. There room is too tiny and not clean.wifi is chargeable.Toilet is old. Breakfast is so cheap. One thing is positive is that you get unlimited filtered water hot and cold out of your room. It is a very low budget standard hotel but not actually low budget! Never going back there. I suggest to go to PALTAN AREA where you can find 71hotel and fars hotel and resorts. This two is very good location and very good all over. Tariff is very reasonable.…
The location is very convenient. The facility is clean and the staff are friendly. I did not eat in the hotel restaurant so can not really comment on the food. One might feel that the hotel is a bit overpriced though! Accommodating some new service in the same price can do a world of good.
