It's hard to rate this hotel...it's absolutely fine...clean, well located with friendly helpful staff. On the other hand the cheapest rooms are certainly overpriced in comparison with rooms in India, Nepal or even Thailand. But overpriced rooms, especially at the budget level appears to be the norm in Bangladesh so I've just dropped a star for that. My room is a simple single with a fan...the sheets are clean and were changed after 2 days, as were the towels. The shower is hot. I can receive Wifi (average) in my room, there's a small TV with international news and entertainment channels and a complimentary newspaper each morning. It's an old hotel however and while the room has recently been repainted it needs freshening up to justify 1450 Taka per night. There are a range of more expensive, A/c rooms which may be better value. The restaurant on the first floor produces average food and provides room service. The staff has been friendly and helpful. As a solo western woman I feel safe and comfortable both in the hotel and the neighbourhood generally. There are a few simple restaurants nearby and it is a 2km walk to Old Dhaka. I recommend this as a safe, secure spot to rest your weary body after sightseeing in Dhaka.…
The staff were pleasant and it's a clean, well run place. It's down the end of a side street away from the traffic - so fairly quiet. The attached restaurant is decent. The bathroom was pretty worn but everything worked, aircon, hot water, etc..
After a difficult day at the BD visa department i found myself having to find somewhere to stay in dhaka.. Yes the hotel is a little old, but the staff were very helpful. On entering my room, there was a strong smell of moth balls, but i was pleasantly suprised to find clean white towels, toothbrush, tooth paste and other standard toiletries. As i had come unprepared these were most welcome.. I had a fridge in my room and AC and although the bed linen was tired looking the bed was very comfortable.. I chose room service for my meals which were excellent... The coffee left a lot to be desired, but i always have Nescafé in my bag, just in case! The hotel was in a quiet location and just a short walk away from a pharmacy and street stalls, where i bought some toiletries and a tshirt for sleeping. In the morning a newspaper was delivered to my room which was a welcome gesture and at reception they allowed me to recharge my phone.…
There was no water and hot water in my bathroom! I even saw a cockroach in the room! I cannot believe this terrible hotel cost me 1260 TK! The staff did not feel sorry for that at all! Avoid this hotel!
Stayed here on first and last days in Bangladesh. Rooms clean, very polite floor boys who clean everyday. Rooms a little older but just fine. I got a simple single without ac for 1200 taka. The hotel is set back from the main road so not too noisy for Dhaka. Staff were a little cold but ended being just fine. I found that with all hotels in the range in Bangladesh, that service was efficient but indifferent until you have at least a few days there and make an effort. These guys did organise to get me to the airport ahead of an all day strike. Restaurant ok, nothing crazy good but fair. Location great as long as you do not need anything in the north of the city. Recommended, i would stay again.
Though its expensive & old rooms. But the environment is very good in here. I liked it.
with old rooms and average service it is grossly overcharged.
