I stayed for 4 nights for business. From the minute I arrived the staff could not have done more. I had injured my ankle on route to Dhaka. When I arrived they sat me down, the manager Taj brought me ice for my ankle while they checked me in, and gave me a cup of tea while waiting for room to be ready. They hadn't received my request for no feather bedding in room due to allergies but said it wasn't a problem and within 15 minutes they had remade the room. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the bed and bedding was of high quality. The windows served well to block out the traffic and noise. Throughout my stay staff members could not be more helpful, in arranging a wheelchair to borrow until I could get crutches the following day after a visit to the hospital. The constantly enquired as to how it was and did everything they could to make my stay comfortable. At the buffet breakfast they fetched anything I needed to make it easier. The staff are obviously well trained and seem to take pride in their work. I must make special mention of Sabbire, we came across him a number of times and was always so profesisonal and helpful. Also Afrida who checked us out and spent time speaking with us while waiting for the car to arrive. And to Fartuk who drove us to the airport, best driver we had during our trip, very careful on the roads. Overall, yes the hotel is quite expensive, but it is worth it for the excellent security, the comfortable rooms and the standard of customer care which is taken with each guest. It is a relatively small hotel and I think this helps them provide more bespoke customer care. I will definitely be staying here when I return to Dhaka later this year and will encourage colleagues to also stay here.

Thank you all staff for your high level of service. I was very appreciated. Especially, when I needed to change the room to another non-smoking room with very fresh air due to my allergy to smoking. Another appreciation was when I had breakfast, all staff there had taken such a good care of each customers with their smiles. Thanks again for everything. I will definitely stay at Amari for my next business trip.

We are expatriate from US and stayed at Amari for two weeks in January 2020. I grew up in the same neighborhood so the locale was familiar to me. This hotel is clean and safe. Dhaka is relatively new in large scale international hotel business and considering the maturity of the hotel industry in Bangladesh this is an excellent choice in terms of location, security, service, dining, quality of room, etc. Front desk staff was professional and did everything possible to cater to our needs. Security is very good in this hotel, although for me at times it was annoying as my stay was long and I used to come and go out of the hotel frequently. But, I understood the job security guys were trying to do. Best attribute of this hotel is food services. Breakfast options were great and plentiful. Restaurant staff went out of their way to make it even better for us as we were staying at the hotel for long. There are several guys, but most of the morning Alamin was present at the breakfast service to assist us. He went extra miles to make sure we do not get bored with the breakfast menu and often tried / offered customized menu to us. I have noticed he tried to provide the same level of service to other guests which is a sign of professionalism to me. His effort was appreciated during our stay and represent the quality of staff this hotel has. So, overall a very good hotel.

Spent one night at the hotel last Saturday. Friendly, effective check in with current COVID policies explained regarding our stay. Unnecessary items removed from the room to comply with COVID etc. Good breakfast selection, again with the friendly, efficient staff especially the front desk guy Ms. Merilin. She was so kind and helpful to us. The hotel has an excellent location with the added benefit of Motorcycle parking on site. A pleasant stay was had!

Boy oh boy when the roof top music parties start at this hotel there is little calm and no sleep for anybody who needs a good night of rest. Having now stayed here on numerous occasions and having discussed this issue with management there still seem to be no warning nor volume regulation of the random (2 to 3 nights per week minimum) bouts of exceptionally loud music with high base levels that travel along the concrete infrastructure to the lower floors of the building.
Come on Amari Dhaka, are you a DISCO or UPMARKET HOTEL? How about simply having a World Class Lounge Bar up there with a more refined approach that is also more considerate to the high paying guests who keep your hotel in business???
Despite having excellent service from the hotel staff and a decent dining area I would not recommend this hotel to most professionals who work hard, travel far and who hence value rest and recovery - at least until this hotel understands its own philosophy and makes it clear to potential clients what they can expect during their stay to make an infomerd choice.
With good intent .... good luck Amaro Dhaka ...

Practically all facilities at this hotel are great. The lobby restaurant is quite nice and the service is amazing. Thanks to Mr. Shamim for the specially attentive service, as well as Mr. Siddiki and Mr. Rifat. The food is very good as well, although the breakfast menu is somewhat limited in my opinion (but COVID has to do with part of that as well... no more buffets).
The 13th floor restaurant, Amaya, is also great, although it must be noted it is only open on Thursdays and Fridays. They have solved the buffet issue by providing saran-wrapped individual portions or help from staff who do all the serving instead of having guests go through the food. The options are amazing.
The gym is very well equipped and staff is always on call there.
The rooftop deck has a very nice view and gets quite busy on weekend afternoons, even in COVID times. Still, staff is careful about sanitizing areas and keeping their masks on.

We were at Dhaka more than three weeks (longer then expected due to lockdown) on business trip. Our decision to choose Amari hotel was a great decision! The hotel is located in quiet pretty district - Gulshan 2, you don't suffer from noise and surrounded by a lot of palms and beautiful flowers. Rooms are equipped all necessary facilities, kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and stove is especially convenient during lockdown. Breakfast is on the highest level, there are a lot of delicious dishes of different styles, stuff of a restaurant very kind and all time is ready to care about you. The same it possibly to say about all stuff of the hotel (front managers, housekeepers). Especially many thanks to housekeeper Nasmul - he all time has taken care about me room, its cleanness, about all essentials for bathroom, was ready to help all time. It was made my pastime and work at the hotel during lockdown more pleasant. I recommend staying at this hotel!

Stayed for 2,5 weeks during lockdown. Comfortable spacious rooms are very convenient for any kind of stay and convenient for work too, room interior is stylish and everything is new and good looking. Kitchenette is a very good solution for a long stay, very convenient and unusually nice option for a hotel. Staff is very professional, front desk, concierge and room service, restaurant too, everybody there to offer their services anytime. Special thanks to housekeeping team (especially Mr. Nazmul) for keeping rooms clean and tidy and being nice and welcoming hosts. 15th floor roof-top pool is great and pretty big, one of the best views from there around the city. Hotel location is perfect, quiet streets, no noise, but very close to shops, restaurants etc. Good commute to the airport.

Nice hôtel, clean and quiet....
Acceptable room service ( just avoid adding a lot of spices to the chicken for pizza because the taste deviates from the pizza taste)
Helpful staff especially Mahatab Ali.

There have been cases where unmarried couples have been denied in hotels in Bangladesh but typically this is at the discretion of the hotel. More often than not they do not ask if you are married and just assume you are (similar to Dubai) with no questions asked. Sorry I cannot give you a definite yes/no. My advice is call them and ask, the staff at Amari are very helpful.
