I stay at Goldie's when I am in Phnom Penh for a day. Basically, the $20 and $25 a night prices (which hace been the same since 2010 or before) are good for what Goldie's offers. It is in a safe location in thd heart of BKK1, probably the most prestigious and safest neighborhood in Phnom Penh. (Most of the...

Goldie is very simple, but the a/c works and you have a private bathroom with hot water. The wifi works most of the time, and it's in the middle of a nice little tourist area with loads of restaurants and bars nearby. It's also very close to the independence monument and some other sights that are really pleasant to take...

After staying in all kinds of hotels in Phnom Penh for ten years, I was relieved to be introduced to this charming little guesthouse/pensione on st 57. The owner, Nina, replied to my request immediately and booked my room at the last minute, most graciously. I arrived to find an old Khmer style hotel transformed into a European style lodging,...

Small family run guesthouse in the middle of Phnom Penh on a quiet street. Friendly and helpful staff, and the wifi is working nicely. Breakfast is not included! The traffic in Phnom Penh is awful, so better take a tricycle/tuc-tuc they are so cheap.

We stayed for 4 nights here and liked the area and the friendly, familiar atmosphere. The street is quite calm but animated enough not to feel deserted. Lots of nice restaurants around and walking distance to independence monument and other areas. We stayed in a balcony room which was spacious and well equipped - great value for money. The first...

Having seen the recommendation in a travel guide (Marco Polo) for Goldie Guesthouse, we had no doubt we would get a decent and clean hotel. Unfortunately our experience was everything but pleasant. The so-called 'small bathroom' was merely a toilet with a shower head coming out of the wall. After the shower, the entire room was soaked, including the toilet...

I love Goldies and have stayed there several times. It has an excellent location, the staff are very friendly and there is just a nice and cosy atmosphere. And then you can get whole-grain bread! Very reccomdable.
