My boyfriend and I travelled here from Ho Chi Minh City and this was the first place in Cambodia that we stayed. We got dropped off in the city centre by the bus, and jumped on a TukTuk to the hotel. It's a little out of the way from the main city (about 10 minute tuktuk ride) but the benefit... More

This hotel is an old Phnom Penh colonial mansion and except for a steep flight of stairs, I could find nothing not to love about Monument. Location wise, it is at the city center and the Palace, river etc are all within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, stores etc around and public transportation is easily... More

I booked one week at Monument Hotel before going to Siem Reap. I chose it simply because of a special offer from Booking.com. Upon my arrival, the first room I was ushered into developed an odd smell from the bathroom, and the toilet leaked. When I complained, the staff were extremely apologetic and offered me the ground floor pool-view room.... More

This has been a much better property in the past. It does appear that the lack of maintenance is becoming pretty chronic. The Staff in spite of this really went to great lengths to make sure we were comfortable. The property has a great pool and as the temperature in Phnom Pen was excessive of late, it was a blessing.... More

I just stayed here for a couple of weeks, now the rooms and fine and comparable to other hotels in the price range. It's an older building so has all the charm, including no elevator. If you want modern slick interior and features this isn't the place for you. What sets it apart is the service, not only did they... More

The rooms here are spacious, bathroom was styled well, bed was comfortable and huge amount of storage space. The hotel pool is pretty big with space for loungers. The only slightly annoying thing is after the pool you have to walk back through the hotel and up the flights of stairs back into your room. A bit wet isn't that... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Monument hotel. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly (especially Raabi), the rooms were large, generous and clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast every morning, was, by Asian standards, very good. Location was excellent, close to the river, markets and many restaurants, and on a smaller more quiet street so minimal street... More

We had a fantastic stay at monument hotel in April this year. The place is really very good value, considering the comfort of the rooms with balcony and a very nice pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and were great in organising a sunset cruise on the river. Breakfast was included, and was delicious! Try the Cambodian style omelette.... More

I stayed twice at the Monument Hotel during my Business trip in February 2015 - in total 6 nights. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They know your name and room number, are very attentive and remember that you have stayed with them before. On my second arrival I even got an upgrade. The breakfast room is on the... More
