This hotel is a nice colonial style hotel with pleasant pool area in the middle of the city. Don't let them talk you into "upgrade to the old building". It is not worth it. The breakfast buffet was excellent! The food at the formal restaurant is really bad. The service was terrible as well even though they had only a... More

We were looking forward to our stay in Raffles Le Royal in Phnom Penh and it lived up to expectations. A grand hotel but not too formal and not intimidating. Very efficient service (the doormen remember your name when you return and have your key ready) with a friendly touch. The rooms we had were comfortable and well serviced with... More

Arrived after a long journey and loved the colonial charm; they were offering a deal on upgrades so took a spacious suite and liked it very much. Spent most of the week relaxing so used the spa and the pool and the service was generally excellent. It's not QUITE Raffles Singapore, but very few places can reach those standards. The... More

It is not quite like Raffles in Singapore - but then, Raffles in Singapore is just spotless, and impressively beautiful - and much more expensive. Raffles Le Royal in Phnom Pehn is trying hard to reach the same standard, but misses the target sometimes. It is a beautiful colonial building, restored with care and good taste. On arrival you get... More

This raffles as well is a gem! absolutely fantastic colonial style building, impecable service, great food. The rooms as in all raffles are a bit low light so that working might be difficult and ac are slightly noisy- in case you want to use it at night. Car service charges 35USD even for a 4min drive, that could be a... More

I really enjoyed my stay in the Raffles Phnom Penh hotel. The hotel is in good location and there are lot of bikers next to the entrance to take you around for $1 or $2. Grand old hotel kept spotlessly clean. Superb service and nothing was enough trouble. Tennis elsewhere was organised daily for me. The two pools have a Sunny side and a shaded spot. Good location, safe and convenient. Excellent breakfast, average evening buffet. Happy hour in the Elephant bar is great value for money. Did not use the Spa but the health... More

A great check-in as expected, we were taken into the lounge area and given a drink while the paperwork is done. We arrived early, but after 10 mins waiting the room was ready. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A history of hospitality. The luxury of time. The secret charm of Cambodia. One of Asia's essential destination hotels, Raffles Phnom Penh has been the iconic resting place for the well travelled since 1929. Located in the heart of vibrant Phnom Penh, our hotel has been part of the history of the city and welcomes, as it has always done, a diverse clientele of entrepreneurs, writers, journalists, royalty and intrepid travellers from across the globe. Rooms and suites have been respectfully restored to reflect a distinguished blend of Khmer, Art Deco and French colonial architecture. Dining is an essential part of the Phnom Penh experience. In keeping with history and a sense of place, the elegant Le Royal Restaurant serves modern French cuisine and Royal Khmer cuisine with original recipes graciously gifted to Raffles from the Royal Palace. Almost as famous as the hotel itself, is the Elephant Bar where local residents and visitors alike gather over wine, whisky and cocktails. The Raffles Spa offers relaxation, rejuvenation and fitness through a considered mix of local and classic treatments, gym and spa pool. Complete your visit to Cambodia with a stay at our sister hotel Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor, a great hotel of the legendary Grand Tour of Indochina and virtually at the doorstep of the Angkor UNESCO World Heritage site. ... more   less
