We loved this hotel and agree with so many of others comments. Great location a few mins walk from the Royal Palace and "embassy row". Almost discreet entrance, but that leads onto the great pool area. Top notch service from the booking through to check-in and beyond. We paid $95 a night inc breakfast but that included the private pool...

When you walk in through the quietly tucked in wooded door, its a cool green paradise that awaits. Its a beautiful contrast to the dust, grime and humidity on the outside. Extremely friendly staff, they are ready to accommodate all your queries, concerns and worries. A very beautiful, well done up room was waiting for us. They even pack food...

What a joy it was to stay at this hotel it has a Colonial style and feel about it, the rooms, food and staff were so friendly. The restaurant was situated around the pool surround by tree which added to its glamour. It was close to shops and not far from the river. Would definitely recommend this hotel for couples and...

This is quite simply the best hotel we have ever stayed in. It is full of character, like an oasis of calm with the pool at its hub,and gorgeous rooms full of French style and character. Four poster beds, ceiling fans as well as air conditioning, a computer in the room should you need one, free wi-fi, lovely bathrooms and...

My wife and I had been working in Phnom Penh for approx. two months and needed a break away from our small unit. We did an internet search of all the hotels & guest houses in the city and decided on 'The Pavilion'. It was a delightful place to stay at and as we did not want to do any...

We only stayed at The Pavillion for one night and wish we'd been able to stay for longer. It was in a perfect location for checking out some of the most beautiful and interesting parts of the city. The rooms, grounds and breakfast were very beautiful, and the staff were fabulous, they booked our onward travel for us and even...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We arrived at this hotel and when we walked through the front gate we walked into a tropical oasis set around a beautiful pool and bar setting. We stayed in the standard room which was a good size room with king size bed that was a bit firm. The room was tastefully...

Such a beautiful place and great staff! We recommend it sincerely, particularly for couples since the Pavilion, located in Phnom Penh center, makes you feel like you're inside a little oasis of calm and happiness. Just relax, have a cocktail and listen to the birds singing and flying from tree to tree... Very romantic Sounds nice, doesn't it?

This hotel is just another reason why Asia is such a wonderful place to visit. I highly recommend this hotel for its location, a get away from the rest of the activity in Phnom Penh. The rooms were simple but nice (ours had a private pool). Good food, extremely friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere. We sprung for the jag...

We stayed here for 5 nights and it was a little oasis in busy Phnom Penh close to the Royal Palace. We found it by searching the internet and it certainly lived up to the reviews and photos. It is housed in several French Colonial buildings with a large swimming pool in the centre. There are a mixture of rooms,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It all started when we fell in love with a hidden gem of French-Khmer architecture from the 1920s near Wat Botum, one of the most venerable and original pagodas in Phnom Penh. Renovation and remodeling were led with due respect for the character of a building which had been, as we learnt it later on, a private retreat for Queen Consort Sisowath Kossamak, the late King Sihanouk's mother. Opened on August, 18, 2006 with 10 rooms, The Pavilion has slowly expanded over the years, offering now 36 accommodations throughout three more period buildings that have been added to the property: "The New House", former residence of the chief veterinarian at the Royal Palace; "The New Villa", formerly the private residence of a Cambodian senator, and "The Sun-Pool Villa", our latest addition which used to be lodgings for diplomats based in Phnom Penh. Each one has its own style and atmosphere, with distinctive architectural features such as an elaborate wooden stairway, intricate iron wrought railings, etc… ... more   less
