My friend and I spent two nights there in the only private room, the only shower is next to it so get ready for some noise. There is an improvised kitchen you can use. Internet is good. We didn't really see the staff but when we saw them they seemed nice. The guesthouse is far away from the city but...

Nomads Home is fantastic place to stay for traveller. Someone wrote about the wrong information below about NH that it is almost closed. But it is not true. Nomads Home works now, too, and they even opened the new guesthouse in Karakol. Their facilities have also renewed. Good, clean, spacious and cheap!

Though the owners are nice, it does sadly feel that rather than simply being basic (which would be fine), the hostel has actually been forgotten and run down - rooms and facilities are not clean, beds particularly hard and uncomfortable. No attention is given to emptying toilet/kitchen bins, replacing toilet roll, stripping beds of guests that have left, etc. There...

I stayed in a tent here and enjoyed my stay. It was a great place to meet other travelers and although the girls working there are shy they eventually opened up to me. There's a little market nearby where you can buy some food and a lot of marshrutkas stop by in front of the place to get around for...

Good points. Mainly used by cyclists and trekkers, very good place to meet others and obtain information. Cheapish (especially if put up tent) and as well located as possible for a capital city, bazaar nearby. Can cook own food. Bad points Reservation system is unreliable. We booked the double room or yurt 3 times, and it never worked. The airport...

Nomads Home became our home away from home. It is excellent for the low budget long term traveller. This place is not fancy but it is highly functional. A place to pitch your tent (there is also a yurt and dorms), a fridge, hot shower, a small stove so you can cook, nice hang out area, GOOD wifi and a...

The past five days at Nomads Home have been very good. There is nothing fancy or pretentious about Nomads but it leaves a very positive impression. I’m not the first person this week to say they are sorry to be leaving and I would certainly return if my travels bring me this way again. It’s a simple family-run guesthouse that...

I admit it. I just entered the courtyard when another traveller opened the door and left. Maybe I should have waited and ring the bell. But never ever have I been welcomed with the words: ‘What are you doing here. Go away’. I said my friend was staying there. The young lady kept on saying: ‘Go away’. It took a...

We stayed a total of 4 night here. When we got there it was so packed with people that they only had tent space left, which was fine with us. We had our own tent with. The family that runs the place is very nice and friendly, but the best part was the other guests. The atmosphere here was a...

We stayed in Kyrgyzstan for a month using nomads home as our base camp. We had a great time, if you are cycling (which we weren't) this is definatly a must hit place always full of cyclist with loads of helpful tips and advice. It seems far out of town but actually you can get the 101 and 118 straight...
