Beautiful 1920s style hotel, lovely rooms and public areas. No restaurant but breakfast is served in the bar or courtyard and offers plenty of choice and excellent quality food. Extremely good value for money.

We stayed here for three nights and loved it! Our room was very charming - dark wooden furniture, artsy lamps, comfortable bed - and relatively quiet. The breakfast options were basic but delicious; my husband commented that the bacon was the best bacon he's had in a hotel in Asia. We chose to include transport to and from the airport,... More

Quiet, comfortable, affordable, great breakfast and in the middle of the city. This family owned hotel is a great place to stay in Vientiane. The hotel is within walking distance of all major downtown restaurants, cafes, and the river, can't go wrong with the location! They have a covered back parking area, which is perfect for a car/scooter.. After coming here... More

Very clean and comfortable Good breakfast Value for money Friendly staff but no good English so one needs to speak to manager if you have questions The hotel is located in great position in old quarter and it's accessible to everything by walking. Feels safe and any problems were dealt with immediately. Free waters in room and fridge.

I've stayed in many places in Vientiane over the past six years and this is my favorite. The service is attentive, the breakfast is simple but satisfying, the location is fantastic across from a temple, near great shops and restaurants, near the Mekong, and the night market. No problems here!

Great people who know a lot about us travellers whose work or leisure may invite us along paths less travelled. Gentle and sincere are the Lao people. Smiles greet you with curiousity and respect towards those who seek to understand.

Our stay here was simply amazing. The staff, especially Andy, were friendly, attentive and very helpful. Breakfast was good, especially the banana yogurt shake! Internet connection was brilliantly fast. We stayed in 2 double rooms on the 2nd floor for 3 days. The rooms were spacious and spotless. Love the ambiance and the location. It is just 3 mins walk... I always stay here when in Vientiane. Clean, nice and helpful staff, good location, good price. Internet connection is very good, has been useful during my business trips. Also friendly for families and couples. 3min walk to night market, many restaurants around.

I've just completed my fourth stay here, and the Khamvongsa remains one of my two favorite hotels anywhere. (The other is in Paris.) It isn't fancy, but the whole property is stylish and dignified, with excellent staff. The European breakfast (one of six or seven options) is wonderful: juice, fresh fruit, an excellent croissant, coffee or tea, and delicious fresh... More

„Cold“ Welcome. We had rooms located on separarte buildings although I requested upon booking to have rooms next to each other which was confirmed. Our friend complained about the unusual insects on the walls in Room 203. Luckily it was possible to transfer to Room 303. Both rooms were located opposite the main buildinig facing a construction site. Our room... More
