I have now stayed more than 2 great weeks at khamvongsa. The rooms are large and nicely furnitured. The service is great. The breakfast likewise. I doubt there can be better value for money in Vientiane. I will be back! (The rooms towards the street can be noisy if you are sensitive - the owners are aware and will install...

My partner and I stayed at Khamvongsa based on the good reviews at Tripadvisor. Khamvongsa is a real gem of a hotel in Vientiane. Very beautiful decorated inside and outside and the rooms were just excellent. Everything was clean and the breakfast was lovely. At USD30 this hotel was great value for money. During our last night, we booked another...

for the beds! Definitely one of the worst in all my years of travel. Travelling in Asia doesn't necessarily equate to ultra firm beds with no give whatsoever. When we asked if a "topper" could be used, the reception suggested the blanket .... so housekeeping laid two on the bed. Even though it was a marginal improvement, we still woke...

We stayed here for three nights during December and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is small and very friendly with great staff. The rooms are big and roomy including the bathroom which like all South East Asian countries is a wet room – after awhile you do get use to this, along with the firm beds. Breakfast was served...

After the chaos of Bangkok, the slower pace of Vientiane was greatly appreciated. This hotel is a great, clean place to stay in a convenient location, and it's a good deal too. Walking distance to the beautiful sunsets, shops, restaurants and food stalls and spas on the riverfront. The staff are dedicated, pleasant and communicated well in English. They also...

The hotel is very nice, well located and the room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, I had one of the few rooms on the street-side. The windows are so thin that they provide no noise isolation. The breakfast was also disappointing. But overall I had a pleasant stay in Vientiane.

An attractive hotel. The bedroom was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very disappointing. It was like a pillow top bed without the stuffing in the pillow top. It was most uncomfortable. When we complained we were advised that all the beds were the same. The second night we used two extra blankets to provide some padding and...

What a terrific hotel. It's a beautiful building close to the temples, restaurants etc. The rooms are spacious and as they have thick walls you can't hear any noise from any other room or the hallways. It felt lovely and private without it having that sterile feeling lots of hotels foster. We loved coming back here and realxing with a...

We stayed here for to nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place strikes the right balance between friendliness and professionalism. Small problems and requests were solved quickly and without fuss. The breakfast is great and the rooms spacious. It's a very difficult place to fault.
