We stayed at the Lane Xang Princess Hotel for three nights. The rooms are big, the beds are clean, the wifi shoddy and the hot water came and went as it pleased. The personell is friendly, but rarely speaks English. The hotel is located at a 10 minute walk from the city centre, so no reason to grab a tuktuk...

If you want no-frills at a decent price, then this hotel is fine. At $40/night I got a windowless clean room with a king-size bed, good, free WiFi access, a clean bathroom with a shower with hot water, and breakfast. The staff had limited English-speaking skills but we managed. Breakfast consisted of a couple of Western and Asian choices off...

This 3 star hotel is strategically located in the heart of the Vientiane capitol, immediately next to Talat Sao (central market, main bus station & shopping complex) and minutes from That Dam (Black stupa monument). This hotel is within close proximity of Patuxay ( the Victory Gate i.e.the local rendition of Paris' Arc de Triomphehade in France) Request for the...

We had rm43, no window but to be honest it didn't matter a bit, The rooms have obviously just been refurbished as they are spotless beyond what daily cleaning would accomplish. The staff are friendly an helpful as far as they can understand you. The location is quite good, within walking distance of the Mekong park and stalls. Contrary to...

Taxi from Airport to hotel costs USD7. Located about 1 km from downtown. About 20 mins walk or can take a tuk-tuk for 30,000 kips. Talat Sao Mall, morning market and Central Bus Station is just across the road. Makes it easy to take the bus to about anywhere in Laos, including to Nong Khai, Thailand, across the Friendship Bridge....

This place is very central .. Since the city is quite small. i walked everywhere. One block from bus station, could walk to the Phra That Luang temple and to the peace arch as well as to the museum and the night market on the Mekong river front. It was recently upgraded, had great new bathroom, very new furniture and...

We've had a very good stay here! Clean, spacious rooms and comfy beds. The breakfast is good, with many á la carte Asian and Western options. Staff was very friendly, although their English is quite bad... The location is good, a bit far from restaurants, bars and night market, but close to morning market, national monument and Wat Sisaket. Only...

stayed two nights after arriving in Laos. Not very central and taxis may confuse it with the other Lane Xang (we had sent an airport pickup request but as no confirmation had arrived we took a taxi, only to find out that their driver had showed up a few minutes later), but a short tuktuk ride downtown and easily walkable...

We stayed here for 2 nights and would stay there again.. Pros: - location. Not at center of town, but not far out (easy walk to center of town) Directly across from morning market and a quick block from the bus station for routes going south. - amenities. Full amenities including toothbrush, lots of shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. Lots of channels on...

“Because it is a city hotel, many rooms do not have windows. They are nice and clean (also very quiet). In case you have a little more budget, chose the 'suite' room. This room comes with a sitting corner and is real good value for money.”
