Salana is a wonderful hotel located in the centre of Vientiane Mekong River area. It is walking distance to many popular restaurants, pubs, markets and temples. Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was included with the room. Along with the selection of buffet items you can order from a menu. I enjoyed the banana crepe with whip cream. More traditional...

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The room was large, beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds and reliable air conditioning. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of Western and Asian dishes, both on a buffet and made to order. The spa provided a wonderful interlude, and the bar/lounge was comfortable and served great fruit-based (non-alcoholic) beverages. The lounge is...

Just returned from 3 night stay at Salana. Luxurious bed and room appointments. Wonderful breakfast. Location near night market, but a little bit to far East of main downtown action. Only other weakness is that many of the staff, while always meaning well, need some polishing. Got poor advice on restaurant info. Best way to take excursions is to get...

Lovely boutique hotel, well-situated for getting around town. Friendly staff, spacious rooms with all amenities, good breakfast. Bonus was seeing the alms collection (with absolutely no tourists gaping at the monks) from the window of the room, so try to get a room facing the temple. Could not rate it more highly.

This hotel is full of character, beautifully decorated and lovely comfortable rooms. The bar and lounge is located on the top floor with a balcony where you can sit and watch the people coming and going along the street below. The staff are so friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking around the town and also for...

I would recommend this hotel if you can book it for a reasonable price. I don't think we got the best value for money deal but it was the Chinese new year weekend and I only booked 1.5 months before. It is located very conveniently, near good restaurants, bars and foot massage places. There's also a bike shop 200m down...

This hotel has the greatest, tastiest breakfast by far of many hotels I have stayed around the world. Great variety and many cooked on request included in rate. The location is great. Nice clean rooms and bathroom. Would go back to Vientiane just to stay at the hotel. As another reviewer stated, nice 4th floor bar.

We stayed here to celebrate our fifth anniversary. The room was lovely and spacious, the staff were friendly and courteous: they gave us a glass of passion fruit juice on arrival, carried our bags to our room, and brought my partner an iron and ironing board when he called down to ask for one. They were spraying the corridors with...

Lovely hotel with a great location. The staff is very helpful and breakfast offers a good selection. This hotel is extremely good value for money. Try and get a room facing the wat as every morning you can see the arms ceremony from the window.

Stayed for 2 nights as part of the hotel package in a superior room on the road side. I would suggest that if you are a light sleeper to get a room away from the road as the windows are quite thin. I'm a deep sleeper so i didn't mind. Some reviews mentioned no turndown service but we did get...
