I came as a solo traveller expecting to meet other travellers the place was pretty much dead, in our dorm there was only 3 of us staying in there. Generally in Vientiane it's rather quiet and not much to do Seem to be problems around the whole building - bed bug issues in other dorms which were shut and other...

My friend and I stayed here one night and that was just about enough. Arrived in the evening and was shown to our room. Mosquitos everywhere because doors are constantly left open. 40,000k per person/night which is quite cheap but we found a guesthouse with our own shower and toilet for 80,000k each (sport guesthouse if any of you like...

It is located right in the city center and all sights and attractions are within a 10-15 min walking distance, aspecially the night market and the Mekong river , we truly enjoyed our stay at the Vientiane backpackers , the room was huge and very clean , aircon and wifi worked in the room , the staff was helpful and...

I think I'm a fussy bugger but I did like staying here. The dorm was nice and cold as the aircon seemed to always be on. Lockers ( byo padlock ) means you can stash your valuables if you're planning a lurk somewhere you'd rather not take valuables etc. Toilets n showers are on the ground floor and there never...

Location is excellent, staff are nice, decent breakfast, adequate wifi. Not much ventilation (windows are closed 24/7) which could easily do with some mosquito nets so they could be open a few hours a day. Mosquitoes everywhere, in showers, in toilets, etc. I quite liked the hostel except for the terrible bed bug infestation that is going on there. I...

Me and a friend are travelling around South East Asia and have stayed at a range of cheap hostels and unfortunately this is the worst we have been to! The staff don't ever seem to be around when needed. Our sink was broke and no water was running from our tap, Our air con was broke and when we told...

With a little repairs and maintenance this hostel could be a whole lot better, the showers were excellent, the best I have experienced in South East Asia. The aircon is also nice and powerful, although is turned off during the day. The bunk beds are okay, hard mattresses but the pillows are quite soft. The dorms are a bit noisy....

A bright, friendly, new little family-run hostel on a busy street popular with young backpackers, Orange Backpacker Hostel is a great choice for budget travelers looking for a comfy bed in a convenient location. Orange Backpacker Hostel is one of the cheapest hostels in Vientiane.

5 cases of bedbugs in 3 different rooms during the 2 nights that I stayed (me included in the second night). When I complained the girl in reception only say "sorry" Aside of that, everything looks clean. There are only 2 toilets and 4 showers in the 1st floor for the entire hostel, but that was never a problem. Many...
