There is a nice common area downstairs with a pool table, and the happy hour every night (free Lao whiskey) makes for a great atmosphere for socialising. A note though, that their beers seem a little expensive compared to what you can get at the convenience store around the corner. They also provide a decent breakfast that is included in...

Booked and paid for a triple room online and was travelling with 2 other friends when we arrive they say they never received our booking and are "full" but will take us to their other guesthouse. Then they say we can walk its inly 600metres away. Umm no way not with back packs and hot sun!, We refuse and ask...

This is the worst accomodation in regards to value for money that I have stayed in during my last six months of traveling - its overpriced and underdelivering For people who have not noticed it yet - Funky monkey guesthouse and the Vientiene travellers Home are the same! I stay in a 8 person mixed dorm. The room was really...

This place is the best for the atmosphere, the owner is friendly, the dorm is cheap enough and pretty clean, just like the bathroom. If you want to meet people, go to this place! And don't forget to be there in the evening for the free whiskey!

Booked and paid in advance, looking forward to the traveller vibe that this place advertises. Upon arrival we were told that there were no rooms available (even though they had accepted our booking) and we were then led to a place two blocks down the road. The new place was soulless, boring, and the room was tiny with a window...

The Travellers House is located right by the river so it is extremely convenient to get around. The room was big and clean, with lockers provided under your bed (not the most secure since anybody can just pull up your mattress and see what you have under, but this appears common in Laos). There was only one toilet per floor...

Moved here from another hostel in Vientiane and found it to be much better. The staff are so friendly and great for recommending places to see and to eat at. Rent bicycles for 10 000kip per day from them and cycle to the herbal sauna out of town! Clean dorms and bathrooms, good wi-fi, good a/c and great location. Met...

Travellers House was what made my stay in Vientiane. It is perfectly located near the river, it has a great vibe, good quality wifi, very helpful and friendly staff. The staff very quickly and calmly helped me recover my bag that I had lost at the airport.

The owner is a very happy and helpful man. He is always willing to answer questions and when necessary he would even take you personnally to the airport. Rooms are clean, wifi and a large breakfast is included in the price of only 40.000 kip per night for a dorm. If you prefer more silence and privacy even private rooms...

Our room was very clean and comfortable. Good WiFi+TV was working really well and had HBO etc. Location perfect in the center and near nice restaurants. There's lot of backpackers and young people around so it's easy to meet new people. Staff is nice and relaxed also. Would go again here.
