We stayed two nights at the Mandala Boutique Hotel in Vientiane. The hotel looks very charming and the location was pretty good as well. We booked two rooms, the room of our children was very spacious, ours was much smaller and didn't really have windows. The beds were very comfortable! However, the walls are very thin and our neighbours were...

We found Mandala Hotel a lovely place to stay. Comfortable rooms, quiet surroundings and nice garden to relax in. Breakfast simple, but nice and healthy! A 10-15 min walk from the city centre, but closer to some of the tourist sights. Only downside for us was the lack of bicycles to hire. But you can get these just down the...

Dear Mae Sot It is our great pleasure to have you stay in Mandala Boutique Hotel and that you enjoyed your stay with us. Talking a walk along the river side and biking tour in the charming Vientiane City is really a must. I would say it is even nicer thing to do than taking a Tuk Tuk around, unless...

We stayed 2 nights arriving late the first night. the hotel is lovely with friendly helpful staff. It's clean with great facilities. Breakfast was mostly organic products, all freshly cooked. Our advice is done take a front facing room, there are dogs barking & fighting in the street outside throughout the night. Moreover the owner, drives a Harley motorbike left...

Dear Usk We are deeply sorry that your sleep got disturbed by noises, and partly from the vehicle use at late night. We will advise our hotel staff to prevent this inconvenience in the future and we do hope to see you stay in our hotel again. Have a great trip to other destinations you make! 1. The hotel with really beautiful garden and restaurant. Really luxury feeling. 2.The location abit out of town. We usually walking 15-20 mins to the main part where has all the restaurants. Not big prob to us. 3. The only unhappy thing is we booked online a week ahead from the website then later emailed me saying the room i...

We stayed here 2 nights. Good room size, comfortable bed, good breakfast, good location. Rather shabby with wallpaper peeling off the bedroom wall, broken light switch, cracked tiles in the bathroom and the bath could only be filled using the shower attachment. Needs a good makeover and refurbishment. After that it would probably get 5 stars

This hotel is a little out of town but there is a shuttle. The hotel is an old french villa with lots of charm if you don't care to eat out there is a french restaurant which serves beautiful evening meals, at a good price, and the breakfast has a wide variety to cater for all tastes.

Nice hotel with boutique decoration. Love green garden, reading corner in the back yard, the glass wall in the back of the restaurant's kitchen. I stayed in a double room (203) and was happy with the clean and decoration in the room. However the room is much smaller than we expected! The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very...

Very nice hotel in good location. After a long tour through Laos it was great to take breath here before a journey home. The breakfast was good with lovely homemade items - yoghurt, jams etc.The rooms large and beautiful linens and slightly softer beds from the laos norm! Only real downside was small bathroom in our room but the room...

Located nearby but not in the old center of Vientiane in a old villa with a very nice garden with old big trees. Of course rooms are not hyper-modern but they breath the atmosphere that must have been in Vientiane about 50 years ago. We had a Suite room behind the main building, with a separate living room. The bathroom...

I love the interior decor of this hotel. Very authentic and homely. Location quite central, very close to river. Breakfast was good too! Recommend taking a stroll down the river around 5-6 PM and watch locals engage in Fair like atmosphere with street food, games and drinks.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
As Vientiane changes, so does our villa. Originally built as a private residence for a French family in the 1960s, the site became a school with up to 500 children in 1992 before it was turned into a hotel at the beginning of this century. Despite the changes, our guests still can feel the privacy and comforts of home in each corner of the hotel. The four original buildings host 23 newly designed rooms and are surrounded by a green and cozy garden with seats under large shady trees. The Mandala Boutique Hotel is located in a small side road away from the busy streets of Vientiane, but within walking distance to the city center and just a 15-minute drive from the airport. ... more   less
