We stayed for two nights including New Year's Eve. The hotel is set back from the busy roads and so is relatively quiet. The rooms were satisfactory - what you would expect for the price. The pool was nice with shaded tables and chairs. The best thing was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. The hotel put on a...

When you walk into the courtyard and pool area you might think you have found a decent hotel. Do not be fooled! On first site the room looks nice but you will soon discover that everything is falling apart... loose electrical sockets.. loose and damaged sink taps in the bathroom.. broken towel rails..dirty and mouldy shower floor.. i could go...

Having read the other reviews, I can say that some of them (in particular the ones with very low ratings) are over-exaggerating quite a bit. Dirty room with paint scaling from the ceilng: depressing decor, nfriendly staff. Actually cancelled my reservation upon seeing the room. Hotel management was very difficult to negotiate cancellation with. Don't be fooled by the photoshopped pictures!

The hotel is just outside the centre of Vientiane and has a swimming pool which is clean. The breakfast is part buffet and part a la carte. The things at the buffet are not that good. But everything you order a la carte is. The rooms are clean and we found the beds to be not as hard as we...

I stayed at the Vientiane Garden Hotel for 2 nights in October. The location is good, a short 5 minute walk to the river or the main restaurants and cafes. I had an upstairs room and it was quite comfortable, split system air-con was fantastic. The breakfast was pretty basic but they will cook you eggs to your liking or...

Enjoyed this hotel large rooms, lovely pool, close to historical district. Rooms were clean but dated wifi worked well. Breakfast was very good lots of fruit, choice of egg pancake or soup, fresh baguette. Well run the staff was gracious and helpful. Would stay there again.
